Blending weirdo ambience alongside dusty bass and beyond they have crafted a place for themselves amidst the sprawling, monster of a city. Their music is as much a soundtrack for the dystopian city as it is for individual listening. Next to appear in our showcase series is a producer and disc jockey from Berlin. An artist who has made his mark as of late having just released on Marcel Fengler's Index record label. The release has come after many years of hard work for AVION who has appeared at the likes of Gerberei Schwerin Waagenbau and Tresor.

Originally inspired by the likes of Jeff Mills, Depeche Mode and Bjork his sound has since evolved with age. In the present he crafts an elegant blend of dubbed out techno, punchy, purposeful yet with a somewhat melodic edge. It's as much in the atmosphere as it is the drive for a producer whom we expect to see more of soon.

Not a crew to do things by halves they have played a crucial role in the development of UK nightlife and continue to remain as crucial and relevant as ever.

It is in fact Live At Robert Johnson upon which he will release his debut album in the coming months, no small feat.

His sound is far reaching taking influence from early days of techno within the city as well as from the likes of rave and breakbeat from further afield. The result sees him blend an expansive array of styles together into what seems like an effortlessly crafted observation of dance music as a whole. A real talent we are delighted to be able to feature him as the latest contributor to our Ransom Note mix series. It will not be the last we see of him...

However, this time around we feature him under an alias in which he focusses upon juke, footwork and bass as he steps up to deliver an electrifying assortment of sound and frequencies.

Coming in at fifty minutes he blends juke alongside fast paced cuts reminiscent of his hip hop past. Earlier this year saw him release an EP on a label titled Iberian Juke, a fitting appearance for Braqueberry from Barcelona.
