Before leaving port to pursue their quarry, the crew splits up to track down leads and recruit assistance. The Captain meets and old comrade and rescues them from a dangerous situation. But Cole find a source, vampiric and dangerous, who offers them a lead. After a rough introduction, the ship sets sail for a Harpy mining colony, but a chance rescue on the high seas leads to a major opportunity.
