Rapture Radio

A music collector since he was a child,

Recording to tapes from the radio dial,

Now digital files are the obsession,

To share with the world from session to session

Versatile producer and DJ Brian Thabault takes over Rapture Radio this week. His tenure in the field has given him an eclectic palette not only as a DJ but also as a producer, so much so that he often mixes his DJ sets using Ableton Live. Get ready for this week’s set that’s got floating melodies with deep grooves and funky breaks.

Fun, funky, bassy house,

It could be the name of Rapture’s spouse,

That’s what Mikey brings us today,

A show of talent in display.

Funky DJ Mikey Badr brings his unique style to Rapture Radio this week. He came to DJing from a single desire: to play music that would make even the most jaded Brooklynite put on their nastiest bass face. Always expect his booty to be shakin’ & he’s bringing that fire to this week’s set that’s bangin’ and bouncy.

We welcome our friend, from across the pond

Andrea Kaeri, for this journey beyond

Also known as Vizzo, deep melodic sounds

A passion for music, since she was a kid

Building inspiration, from her brothers CDs

A Belarusian princess, now in the city of light

Became a musician, in her own right

Kicking things off in 2021 we have Pro dancer and house music aficionado DJ Petra from Belarus this week. Whether on the dance floor or behind the decks, Petra always brings an energy that makes you feel connected to her vibe. Tune in for this week’s episode with melodies that will make you feel that leather harness sweat.

We take off today, a journey of progressive

Inspired by the masters, of melodic edits

Sasha and digweed were his inspiration,

DJ Cheric, setting expectations

Progressive DJ Cheric takes over Rapture Radio this week. A fan of the classics, he got into DJing after attending live shows of house legends like Sasha, Digweed and Danny Tenaglia. This week’s set is deep and melodic, with rhythmic tunes that will fill your soul.

There is a far land, where Europe ends,

A remote territory, governed by the winds,

Across 7 (Canary) islands, a melting pot of cultures,

That gave Madden’s sound, that variety of colors.

Eclectic producer and DJ Madden, also a professional sailor and dancer, who has frequented the decks at iconic spots from Pacha Ibiza to Burning Man, takes over Rapture Radio this week. A cool surprise, he starts off this diverse, head turning set with his latest release ‘King of Patience’ (an apt track for the times), and continues his storytelling with melodic grooves that’ll keep your feet tapping.

Inspiration was found, where civilisation was born,

The land of the nomads, where bedouins are the norm,

Flavor of the desert, acoustic delight,

Now merged into beats, our sound redefined.

Desert vibe king DJ Shaman takes over Rapture Radio this week. Influenced by deep house pros like Bedouin, Shaman got into the scene because he loved the style of having middle eastern instruments entwined in house music. Get ready for this week’s set that’s both emotional and dreamy, and will still keep you grooving.

Started as roomies, with Rock and guitars,

They then stole a mixer, to play DJ stars,

It turned into a hybrid, added keys to jams,

Into all their sets, now music grand slams.
