IGOD aka Richard Honey graces the RaRa Room with his beats and voice! He’s a member of Under The Crown, ChronicKidz and Dezert Banditz. He’s an ABQ, NM based beat maker, rapper and graphic designer. We chat about how his approach to making music has changed over the years and how it has culminated into the “Speaker to Mic” beat album he recently released on the Under The Crown imprint. Jason Goodyear (PRETTYLITTLEPAW) is a Santa Fe based musician, composer, producer, audio engineer and educator at SFCC (Santa Fe Community College). Originally from South Dakota, he moved to Minneapolis to begin his career in the audio field. There he spent years honing his musicianship and audio engineering skills. He moved to Santa Fe in the summer of 1999 and soon began teaching audio classes at local colleges as well as perusing his own musical endeavors. I met him while I was an audio student at SFCC in 2010. There he helped me to build the foundations of my recording knowledge. In many ways he is responsible for the creation of O.G. Willikers and State of the Mingo (My most recent musical endeavors).

**about ‘AOF2’ “AOF2 is a chance-inpired cut-and-paste reworking of Bach's Art of Fugue. A MIDI score was chopped into bits, rearranged, and executed while being processed with a number of random-element inducing processes. Sounds complicated, huh? What I was really going for though was a radical reinterpretation that still sounded like Bach and maintained the sense of ensemble.” -Jason Goodyear

This week: The "1,000 Miles and Running Tour" with Landon Wordswell, Axiom Tha Wyze & DJ Auzomatik! Ax and Auzo come from Boise, Idaho, where they are fixtures in their local hip-hop scene. Landon Wordswell recently re-located from Oregon to Arizona but spends nearly all year touring. We chat about their exploits on the road so far, the importance of being adaptable to the environment you're playing in, methods on how to keep the audience engaged, plus a bunch of other great anecdotes and wisdoms. AND, of course, great tracks and accapellas from these fine fellas.
