What's wrong with diapering, rocking, cuddling, answering 100+ questions, wiping snotty nose, cleaning up messes, and playing blocks on the floor? This is kingdom work and it's not something to just get through so we can get to something bigger. This is big. None of us would have ever told Mary that "her day" was coming while she had the privilege of changing the diaper of Jesus.
This week on the podcast, I talk about the kingdom work of mothering.

Could you offer some advice to help me respect my husband since he got back from deployment. I'm really struggling.
A young woman wrote and told me that though she feels so blessed with her young family, she often feels she's drowning every moment of every day. So many of us feel the same way – drowning – overwhelmed – yet, feeling overwhelmed is a good place to be if we allow it to draw us close to the Lord. This week on the podcast, the conversation is about seeing our lives and situations from the eyes of God and understanding His perspective and calling out to Him for His help. We need His grace for each moment of our lives.

Many parents go above and beyond to pay for their children's college education. They do it because they love their children and want to help launch them into the world. Though it's not an obligation, most parents bless their children in this way. But what about when a child begins to live a lifestyle that is dishonoring to God? Should parents continue? That's the ask on this week's Real Questions, Real Answers. I'm no expert, but perhaps my thoughts will help you navigate this tough situation.

When God gives children to you, there is so much to learn and so much to trust Him with.
The same is true when God gives grandchildren. So much to learn. So much to trust God with.

It is such a heartbreak for parents to see their children turn away from the Lord. It often leads to anxiousness, depression, and hopelessness. A mother expresses those very thoughts in this episode of Real Questions, Real Answers
God cares.
Sometimes after excitement and big events in our lives, we experience a letdown.
It's a normal human experience and God gives us biographical sketches of down times in the lives of godly, faithful people in Scripture. He also shows us in His word how He (and they) dealt with such times.
This week the podcast gives encouragement and perspective when we go through letdowns in our lives.
Jesus said in John 8 , "If you continue in My word, then you are truly my disciples; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free."
