  • Rave Dad’s Diary - Episode March 30, 2022
Tune in to hear my interview with Samito from the duo SPRLUA. SPRLUA is a Portuguese phrase that roughly translates to English to "Super Blood Wolf Moon" - a rare lunar eclipse that takes place in the middle of winter. The name symbolizes the chance meeting of the artists - Samito, a beatmaker and vocalist from Mozambique and Montreal beatsmith, Haig V. Learn more: https://www.sprlua.co/

  • Rave Dad’s Diary - Episode March 2, 2022
It’s March 2, 2022 and festival announcements are popping up. Shambhala Music Festival has announced their 2022 dates after two years off. Closer to home, In Calgary, Sled Island Music & Arts Festival announced their first wave lineup yesterday. Today we’re going into the RDD archives. We’ll hear from Contra from Cartel Madras about what it was like touring in the United States exactly two years ago when the poop started hitting the fan. We’ll revisit my 2020 conversation with Festival Harm Reduction experts, Dancesafe. And we’ll also revisit my conversations with MUTEK Montreal’s artistic director, Alain Mongeau and performer/ producer Priori.
