What if one conversation could remind someone that they are not alone?
September is Suicide Prevention Month, and in this episode of Ravens’ Whispers of the Nine Realms, we are joined by special guest Jenna Baker for an honest conversation about suicide prevention, mental-health awareness, supporting the people around us, and creating spaces where people feel safe enough to speak when they are struggling.
Suicide prevention is about more than statistics or awareness campaigns. It is about people.
Someone can smile, laugh, work, game, lead, and appear completely fine while carrying something inside that others may never see.
Sometimes support starts with listening.
You do not have to be a therapist to care about another person. You do not need perfect words. Sometimes simply saying, “I’m here,” can matter more than having an answer.
In this special episode, we discuss why mental-health conversations matter, why asking for help should never be treated as weakness, and why friends, families, communities, and leaders all have a role in creating environments where people know they matter.
At TROA, mental-health advocacy and suicide-prevention awareness are not limited to one month.
Gaming may bring many of us together, but the person behind the keyboard will always matter more than the game on the screen.
Check on your friends.
Check on your family.
Check on the person who suddenly became quiet.
Check on the person who is always making everyone else laugh.
Check on the strong one.
And sometimes, check on yourself too.
If you are struggling, your story is not finished.
You are not alone.
