I’m experimenting with something a little new - a podcast recording of these musings.

I’ve tried it out first with kind of a stand-alone episode from the archive, ‘Cape of Sounds’, which I put out as an article towards the end of last year. Do remember if you click on the big bold titles in my e-mails, it’ll take you through to seeing things on the website, and that includes all the articles I’ve released since starting this thing last winter.

I would love some feedback on how you find this. I know some podcasts are rather longer than this one - and yet also some people find way more time to listen to podcasts these days than read the written word. I might or might not be one of those people.

My reflections from my recent travels to Mexico continue soon (in written form). And I’m trying to tie things together a little more, with theme headings, though Substack puts them out in a fairly basic blog format. If you’re enjoying Substack you can also get the app. Though part of my reason for doing my own podcast is that, if you’re on the app, you have the option already to listen to an AI voice reading my pieces in a US accent, which is frankly uncanny. I believe this version is at least superior to that option…

Anyway… hope you enjoy this variation on a theme. The backing track, by the way, is taken from my 2020 album (Thickly Mulched Fields of Peripheral Visions), which I recorded with Ronan Skillen and which you can find at my bandcamp site for now.
