RAW Mission

In this episode you'll meet 'Andrew', who has been on the field for 43 years!

Yeah, you read that right - he’s still going, still living in a really challenging place, one which (in spite of its huge gospel needs) attracts very few missionaries, let alone tourists.

Some people’s life mantra is: ‘No Regrets’. Not this guy. He’s humble. He owns his mistakes and exposes some of the common errors that he and other Western missionaries have tended to fall into when making disciples in Asia.

Find out what happened to an imam when he leaves his position in the mosque because of his faith in Jesus.

Hear about how one local evangelist uses the Qur’an to persuade hundreds of Muslims to come to Christ.

Andrew and Matt discuss, amongst other things, the importance of prayer, partnerships with locals, listening to those who have gone before us, the vital role that women play on church planting teams, and suffering for the gospel.

WARNING: this episode contains hard-hitting, provocative material.

'James' is a church leader in a large city in the North of England, but spent his 20s and 30s on a Frontiers team in West Africa.

In this episode, as well as sharing his story and some fascinating anecdotes, he also challenges and questions many of our modern-day theological and cultural narratives.

He and Matt discuss privilege and wealth, justice and evangelism, rights and entitlement, ‘buying’ converts, equality and wealth redistribution, sexism, state surveillance and suffering.

Are you willing to be challenged?
Brace yourself and press play!

Meet Molly, who was led by God through a dream to go to North Africa and ended up staying for more than 20 years!

At one point, however, another dream caused real problems for Molly and her family, for the team and for many other workers in the country.

We discuss stories of betrayal, tips for communicating the gospel well, biblical peace-making, a challenging birth story and so much more…

In this episode Matt interviews Jack and hears some of his stories of working with stateless, traumatised refugees in Asia.

Find out what happens when the police try to round up a bunch of Jack’s friends as they play football on the beach.

Learn about the moment Jack plucks up the courage to pray for a paralysed man.

Listen in as we discuss how privileged white Westerners can serve the poor without falling prone to arrogant colonialist attitudes or adopting a messiah complex?

Have you ever thought about working with refugees here or overseas?
Has God ever stirred in you the desire to take the gospel to places where it is not known? (Romans 15:20)

Meet Adam & Karina,  church leaders in the UK who have a huge heart for refugees and asylum seekers.

They moved into the centre of their city to share Jesus with Kurds, Iranians, Afghans and others. Here they share the incredible story - just part of what God is up to in Britain today amongst Muslims who have moved here from countries where there is so little access to the gospel.
