Andrew Lester is one of the best riders to ever jump on a bodyboard, and today he walks us through some of that die hard obsession that saw him reach the peak of bodyboarding at its Pinnacle time of existence!

Calling the Sutherland Shire home, Lester was never far from the beach and his local slabs. Honing his craft religiously, he was a permanent face in the lineup - 2 foot or 10!

He has tackled waves all over the world, yet his favourite break is right at his backdoor and that is Cronulla's infamous Shark Island!

Today he talks us through how he broke into the heavy lineup as a young bloke and a few great comps he was in, including the insane 2001 Shark Island Challenge and the most recent 2024 Challenge in which he took 2nd with his young family looking on!

It was great to have Andy on and hear the froth in his voice when talking Bodyboarding!

Matt Davies is a wild big wave Foilboarder who calls the Northern Beaches of Sydney home.

He has some lofty goals, with the biggest one being that he wants to ride the biggest wave EVER on a foilboard, and he is well on the way to achieving it!

Not only does he charge all incoming swells that hit Sydney, slabs and deep water, but also goes it international, taking on the biggest of the big at Nazare. Just to make things more extreme, Matt rides test boards for AXIS foils on these GIANT waves!

Matt is also part the way through a documentary that chronicles his path of getting sober, chasing the biggest waves in the world and getting the speed record for flat water Foilboarding. In this episode Dan chats with Bailey Gore. A die hard fisherman with an epic tale!

Bailey was fishing in the 'Big Rock Blue Marlin' tournament that has a 3.5 Million dollar first prize. In the final 45 minutes of the 6 day competition Bailey found himself on the rod with a prize winning fish!

Thinking they had first place in the bag, they headed back to the dock to find out the official weight. That is when things took a turn, they had either won first place or were disqualified.

Today is an important podcast for all the Shippy's surfers, bodyboarders and anyone else out there wanting to ride those wild Shipstern's Bluff waves!

Richie Hassett is one of the men behind the Shippy's Safety Initiative which was started along with the Tassie surf community to raise awareness and support each other in the ocean around Tasmania.

Today he runs Jack through a few wild Shippy's sessions he witnessed and how the initiative began off the back of a very close call!

For any person (or business) who is travelling there or just loves watching what these wild men and women do then please jump on their Instagram and donate what you can! This is a fully self funded initiative that relies on donations from surfers and businesses to keep it going and keep you safe.

From the day Polly saw her first big wave event, she just knew she wanted to be a big wave surfer! She dedicated her life to it without ever actually having ridden any waves bigger than 5 feet! she backed herself every step of the way, even when everyone around her doubted her.

Polly takes us right back to the beginning of her surfing life all the way up to being invited to some of the most prestigious big wave events in the world and to now, where she is chasing world record waves at Nazare! It is one hell of a rollercoaster and it is all paying off due to Polly's drive and resilience!

She has a few epic stories as well!

Polly is now paying it forward and has created big wave babes which has been designed to inspire women to take on the big waves of their lives, whether that is 2 feet or 50 feet!
