Young Anthony Obas set his sights on the bigger picture at such a young age.
Via Syracuse University
Anthony Obas ’20 has always aspired to make a difference. Growing up in Harlem, he was deeply invested in his community. At Syracuse University he found a passion for entrepreneurship, both as a Whitman major and as a member of the LaunchPad. Now a brand consultant, independent artist and published author, he is combining those skills and passion. His company, Guided by Obas, is flourishing as he travels extensively representing talent and on his book speaking tours. And, he has returned to his roots, now teaching at the same Harlem school he attended. It’s been exactly ten years since he graduated from St. Charles Borromeo, just two blocks from where he grew up. Now, he is a teacher there, helping build community and “guiding others” to find their superpower. He can’t help but see a glimpse of himself. The school recognized him this month with a wonderful feature story on that journey
Get to know his views and learn a little bit about his latest book
How do you shift your music into a career?! Very simple. By reading this book. This book gives self releasing artists insights and advice on how to turn their part-time music career into a full time career. This book takes on various case studies from mainstream artists, personal observations, and research from other music business writers and simplifies these into basic instructions on how to do music for a full time. The goal of these books is to gain more knowledge, but eventually pursue what artists love to do, which is make MUSIC.

1 hr 1 min - Welcome To The Rawrrzone Ep 204 - Being Relentless with Staxx CorderoCopyright Disclaimer under Section 107 of the copyright act 1976, allowance is made for fair use for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, scholarship, and research. Fair use is a use permitted by copyright statute that might otherwise be infringing. Non-profit, educational or personal use tips the balance in favour of fair use.Staxx Cordero 1/2 the dynamic duo of the #AiritoutShow comes to the Rawrrzone to discuss her book #IamRelentless her journey and reflection as her story became a movie on #Tubi.Don't Forget to Catch our Rawrrzone PicksAbout IamRelentlessI Am Relentless speaks to the heart, it's raw, therapeutic, and honest. Captivating from page one, as Staxx' upbringing may mirror that of your own if you ever pursued a career in entertainment. If music gives you chills and a song to write haunts your brain until its either produced or put on paper, you can relate. If you sung with a brush in your hand and you were the star of all the family parties this is for you! There are many curveballs hurled her way in this memoir from childhood to adulthood that have affected her career. Still a dreamer in hot pursuit of her dreams she manages to persist through it all constantly reinventing herself constantly in and out of a cocoon. If becoming a butterfly was a superhero it would be Staxx. Art is freedom. Many artists bury themselves in creativity to escape everyday life by picking up a paintbrush, belting out a song, or choreographing a masterpiece. Artistry is therapeutic. The multi-talented Staxx Cordero had choices of dance, hip hop, acting and writing in her repertoire, there is no one trick pony here. In reading this memoir you will root for her in her artistry, you'll long to hear the music, the soundtrack to her life, you'll identify with falling in love, defending it and losing it. Artistry has freed Staxx and allowed her to shine on stage many a time, many Wednesday nights she left the Apollo stage a winner and advanced to the next round. Every performance offset butterflies, and once the music began with the mic in hand she came alive. The same would be true in her dance performance concerts, theater performances, or film, once the lights are on, it's time to give it your absolute all. In exploring life as an entertainer, your view is different than those around you, you only see possibility until you share with someone with a different view is your imagination then tainted with their point of view and every reason your dream won't work. It won't work for them, it isn't their idea or their dream, it's only their opinion and their opinion is none of your business. Hold tight to your vision and remain steadfast. See it through whether it passes or fails, it is yours and you will only know if you see it through. Remain resilient, clear your path of naysayers, surround yourself with like minded people, protect your dreams and be relentless in your pursuit of your goals.Buy the book belowhttps://www.amazon.com/I-Am-Relentless-Staxx-Cordero/dp/1513681117Watch I am Relentless Herehttps://tubitv.com/movies/710778/i-am-relentlessFollow Staxx Cordero Herehttps://www.instagram.com/staxxcordero/Listen to us on El-Gin Sound Radio https://live365.com/station/El-gin-Sound-Radio-a19625Listen to us Wednesday's on Puso 82.3FM https://live365.com/station/PUSO-82-3-FM-a88820Support our Giveback for Shawn by making a donation below https://www.gofundme.com/f/give-back-for-shawnFollow usKatie / Ivy Twitter / Instagram / Tiktok : @iamivy.xo_Katie Kay Photography www.katiekayphotography.comwww.facebook.com/photosbykatiekayhttps://www.instagram.com/katiekay_photographyxoIvy Productions Twitter @ivyproductions1https://facebook.com/ivyproductionsFollow Rawrrzone Everywhere https://linktr.ee/RawrrzonenycTiktok @rawrrzonenycCheck out our Rawrrzone Pickshttps://open.spotify.com/playlist/22uou4E2jqStyU3vVJzLgU?si=5GYOHhVoT9a5P1qsUd5JaQ&app_destination=copy-link&pt_success=1&nd=11 hr 20 min
