Times are tough. The world is full of despair. Sometimes people hit rock bottom. Where do we turn? What do you do when you’re contemplating suicide? How should you interact with someone who is practicing self harm?

Joseph was such an encourager, that they changed his name. In the New Testament church they only knew him as Barnabas. What was so special about this man? What can we learn from his example? Let’s consider how we can be an encourager like him.

The death of Jesus was horrific. It was cruel and violent. However, this death was meant to symbolize the significance of our sin. Why did God choose a cross? Why did Jesus go to the cross willingly? This podcast we’re going to consider the old rugged cross.

Christians are supposed to be faithful warriors and promoters of good things. Instead we often let the enemy into our ranks. We even help him shoot the wounded. It’s time to be real. The world needs us to be the loving, forgiving, honest, real and authentic Christians He promised we world become. The world needs hope not hypocrisy. They need authenticity not religious elitism. Look past the hypocrisy and let’s right the fellow-ship.

In this 30th episode, we deal with what it really means to be positive, practical and authentic in a world full of cookie cutters. What are the benefits of being practical? How can we be positive? Why does God want us to be unique? When e we look at Jesus, what do we see?

Sometimes the season of sadness, anxiety, or depression, may last for longer than expected. If we struggle with our mental health it affects everything, and everyone, around us. What do we need to do to improve our mental health? How can we begin to value ourselves?

We are often convinced that Joy is seasonal and/or varies by location. That is false. Joy the state of mind. Joy is a conscious choice. Joy is a way of living. Joy is not the absence of trial, sorrow, suffering, or various tribulations. Joy a fruit of the spirit! It is plucked, planted, fertilized and nourished. When it tastes root the fruit is a blessing to all.

What do you think I’m on the Fourth of July? Independence is a tremendous blessing. However, freedom is certainly not free. People have sacrificed so that we might enjoy this privilege. The same is true when it comes to our freedom as a Christian. Jesus died to obtain the greatest blessing we’ll ever enjoy. Real freedom. He sought to free all of humanity!
