It was quite the week for the Tampa Bay Rays as Rays fans got to see the debut of Tyler Glasnow's third pitch, the so-called "slutter".

RTR is officially in Spring Training mode as the entire Tampa Bay Rays roster has reported down to Port Charlotte to begin workouts for the 2021 season!

This is quite the exciting time for the Rays, and we brought on just the guest for this episode, current Rays receptionist and RTR member Elijah Flewellen! We discussed some of the recent trades that the Rays made, plus we dove deep into a fantastic discussion about Black History Month and the footprint the Rays have within the black community in the Tampa Bay area.

BASEBALL IS BACK!!!!

We are excited and we hope all of you are too!! We've been waiting for quite a while now to get our first Rays player on Rays The Roof, and today, that dream becomes a reality as we talked to Shane Sasaki, a third-round selection in the 2019 MLB Draft from Honolulu, Hawaii, who has been playing for the Perth Heat in the Australian Baseball League this winter, along with a group of Rays prospects! 

Shane talked with us about his career thus far, how it's been like playing baseball in Australia this winter, how the adjustment has been like to pro ball and more, so enjoy this latest episode of Rays The Roof!
