Welcome back to another r/DnDGreentext classic! In today’s tale, we dive into one of the most cathartic Dungeons and Dragons stories ever told. A smug, chaotic rogue with classic "that guy tabletop" energy finally pushes the party too far and our gnome wizard answers with a fireball gone wrong… or maybe oh-so-right.

This DnD greentext starts like so many others. The party is split, outnumbered, and trying to bluff their way out. But the rogue, in true rpg horror story fashion, charges in without a plan. He ruins the moment. Again. And again. Until someone finally does the math.

Our gnome wizard doesn’t just calculate firepower though, he calculates consequences. The rogue, always saying "it's what my character would do," finds out the hard way what that guy tabletop behavior really earns you when the party wizard is smarter than the party. That’s when the fireball goes flying.
