Re-tired: New Tread episodes

  • Re-tired Ep. 062: Dog & Cat People

Are you a dog person or a cat person? In this episode you'll hear how the pets of a lifetime have impacted Tina and Sue, making them very much dog and/or cat people. Dog people are said to be very loyal, outgoing, energetic, positive, sociable, and easy going. Cat people are independent, low-maintenance, like to try new things, curious, creative, and elusive. Jiji cuddles in for the conversation that veers from the sad tale of a Canada goose to the joys of venerated animal family.

  • Re-tired Ep. 060: Unconditional Love

Even as Sue fondly recounts Valentine days of yore,

her pessimism is undeniable. Meanwhile, Tina draws a comparison of VD to ED. Both gals have learned that romantic ideals, filled with fairy tale flaws, cannot replace mutuality in authentic love. Wishing you all a very happy Valentine's Day!

  • Re-tired Ep. 059: Calendars, What's the Point?

To Sue's chagrin, Tina is fascinated/not fascinated by Sue's topic choice, showing no excitement, no heartbeat! Tina sets a seanario where she's wearing a loincloth and looking for Bob, the tea seller in an ancient market some 10,000 years ago. What? From navigating Norway, to the Mayan apocalypse, the gals have a fun convo!

  • Re-tired Ep. 058: Life's Purpose

Tina is asking and answering questions about life's purpose. Unsuprisingly, Sue misunderstands the assignment! She and Tina talk to and past each other from different life perspectives, Sue very philosophically, and Tina literally. Tina embraces her teacher self and opens up to possibilities to "teach life".

About Re-tired: New Tread

From the publisher's feed

"Re-tired" is the podcast where your hosts, Sue & Tina talk about what life is like when we put on new tread for new adventures. We'll explore what it means to re-tire. Like any good road trip, we'll have great company and a load of fun. "Re-tired" will host meaningful conversations with feminists about shifts in life. That could mean discussions about new job or careers, new identities, new starts, and more. In sharing, our hope, our drive, is to not only listen and hear, but to understand and empower ourselves and each other.
