Lina Rehal is a self-published author of three contemporary romance novels and two novellas. She also wrote Carousel Kisses, a book of nostalgic stories about growing up as a baby boomer.

Lina likes writing  “second chance at love” and  “seasoned romance”  stories in which the main characters are in their forties and up.

Her latest book, Someday  Is Here, takes place in Fort Lauderdale. She plans to write two more in this Lauderdale series.

She is currently working on the second book in her Cameron Cove series and the third one in her Tucker’s Landing series.

Lina resides on the North Shore with her husband. They are both avid Disney fans and have enjoyed many trips to Disneyworld together.

She is a member of The Red Rock Rewriters, a writing group that has been meeting at the Swampscott Library for 16 years and is currently  meeting virtually.

Stefanie Timmermann is a photographer and multimedia artist. She also has a PhD in molecular biology. Born and raised in Germany, she worked and exhibited in Paris, before settling in Swampscott.

Environmental and social issues are the focus of her artistic practice. Her series ‘Gaia,’ which takes on environmental destruction was exhibited in ReachArts Gallery.

Stefanie continues to investigate how to personally engage with important social issues. Her photos of local decisive events surrounding political and pandemic flashpoints led to a window installation ‘Facts of Life’ at GALA – Galleries at Lynn Arts – in downtown Lynn.

Also at GALA she created a full-room immersive installation ‘Metamorphosis XX’ which focused on harnessing and celebrating mental resilience and strength in the face of the pandemic.

“Groove” is a gallery show hosted by ReachArts in Swampscott, and features original artwork by Vinny Comeau, Dan Brenton, Matt Curley, Chris Reid, Danielle Wager, Red Carroll, Adric Giles, Mike Boroda and Courtney LeMay. 

 The exhibit includes 95 pieces on display that span across a variety of mediums and styles and is accompanied by a playlist of funk, soul and old school RnB. “Groove” represents how the artists were able to find their natural rhythm and continue their creative journey during the pandemic. 

Vinny Comeau 

 Vinny Comeau is a Production Technician at New England Biolabs and a Medical Microbiologist at Winchester Hospital. Shortly before completing his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Salem State University, he spent 5 months living in Australia where he was introduced to aboriginal art at a local farmer’s market. Typically using acrylic on canvas, Vinny combines the aboriginal art that has influenced him with the repetitive geometric patterns from nature and from the organisms he routinely observes under the microscope. He is currently living in Marblehead, MA.

Michael Aghahowa answers 20 Artist Questions with Agatha Morrell for ReachArts.org in Swampscott Massachusetts.

Michael Aghahowa is a Lynn based artist. He has rooted his practice in community engagement and a steady studio practice. His paintings and artwork reflect the people around him. These people emerge from his work as portraits and references for illustrations. Michael graduated from Montserrat College of Art with a BFA in illustration. He  is currently an MFA candidate at Massachusetts College of Art and Design. In 2019 Michael had solo exhibitions at Google in Cambridge and GAS Gallery in Lynn, MA. Michael and his partner Cinda received a $10,000 grant to paint a wrap around mural in Lynn, MA at Ernie’s Harvest Time. The mural is a collaboration with The Food Project. Currently Michael teaches Drawing 1 for the freshman class at Montserrat College of Art as an adjunct professor.

Tereza answers 20 Artists Questions with Agatha Morrell for
ReachArts.org in Swampscott, Massachusetts.

Most recently, Tereza's project Touchstone was included in The Immigrant Artist Biennial/ Mother Tongue, based out of New York City. Her 2019 exhibitions include a curatorial project Unredacted, bringing ten artists together who acknowledged the political post-truth world, as artists and activists, and shone a light on sustained inequalities offering more humane alternatives. In 2017, Tereza, with artists Ingrid Pichler and Fletcher Boote, created a site-specific installation at the greenhouse of the Emily Dickinson Museum: a meditation on suspension through color and sound. She also received the A.R.T. Fund award creating Capital Cleanse, which was a rogue installation at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Tereza holds an MFA from Vermont College of Fine Arts and a BFA in Painting and Sculpture from Massachusetts College of Art and Design.

Marc Morin answers 20 Artists Questions with Agatha Morrell for ReachArts.org  in Swampscott, Massachusetts.

Marc Morin is a visual artist who uses a variety of mediums. His artwork explores how one understands, interprets and interacts with their surroundings and day-to-day life.  He often uses non-traditional art materials and utilitarian objects.

Marc uses drawing as a daily practice and is currently working on a drawing project that uses index cards to catalog a year in his life.

Marc completed his MFA at Lesley Art + Design. He enjoys teaching studio art, collaborating with other artists, and participating in community art events.
