Six people have been arrested after violence broke out at large protest outside an accommodation centre for international protection applicants at Citywest
Around 2,000 people attended the protest, but shortly afterwards hooded and masked men threw missiles and fireworks at gardaí, vandalised the Luas stop and a garda van was set on fire. Reporting for us who were at the scene last night was our Chief Reporter Barry White and also Newstalk Reporter Henry McKean. We also spoke to Declan Higgins, The Association of Garda Sergeants and Inspectors President.
