In this episode, we follow the Baudelaires to their first minimum wage job! Lemony Snicket wants us to unionize. Future episodes will hopefully be of this length while we continue to explore the lessons of Lemony Snicket in this exaggerated yet relatable setting.

Alright, next time we stick to the one book per episode deal. In this episode, we will follow the Baudelaires from Uncle Monty to Aunt Josephine. Lemony Snicket teaches us two things here: The importance of lying, and the difference between rational and irrational fears. There's a time and place for everything, and these kids get the lessons in extremities so we don't have to (hopefully). Being fearful is helpful and lying can keep us safe!

For this episode, I'll be reviewing the first book in A Series of Unfortunate Events. We'll meet the gang! Violet, Klaus, and Sunny are normal kids up until maybe page 2 when their whole lives are changed forever. Schadenfreude! As expected from a series of this title, things will never get better. But there's 13 books and something to learn and escape to, right?
