  • The Book of Genesis Part 1 Chapters 1 and 2 ESV Version.

Welcome to the first episode of the reading a book podcast

For this first season, I would like to begin reading the book of Genesys, yes the book of Genesys.

Previous that  I would like to share a little bit of context about this book.

This is the first book of the Hebrew Bible and the Christian Old Testament.

The Hebrew name is Bereshit which means; "In the beginning".

Tradition credits Moses as the author of Genesis

For the following minutes, I'll read chapters 1 and chapter 2, hope you enjoy it.

Genesis 1 consists of 31 verses and provides an overview of how the world was created in 6 days. The text describes how the Lord spoke all things into being except humankind, whom He created in his image.

Chapter 2 describes the time and way the heavens and Earth were created; ultimately on the seventh day God rested.
