"So that was kind of where I was coming from when I read the book. This is a really good book. Like I think if there's any book anyone should read in 2025, this is a really good book because there's a lot in the book. Like I actually think I'm going to reread it because there's so much in it that it's hard to keep up with notes and that. But it was really good."

"And having grown up on biryani that is made with meat, this was a wonderful read. And it was a kids book. It was just so sweet. So it was. It really just reminded me of my love for biryani and my dream of one day being able to make it as brilliant and delicious as I eat. Whenever it's made, either it's at an outlet or at home. So check out this book. The book is called Any Dreams of Biryani."

"Hi everyone. So glad to have a book finished. I finished Day Vera Wong's Unsolicited Advice for Murderers which was the December read along book for Read with Us Book Club. And so the story followers. Vera Wong who is an immigrant in America and runs a tea house where she finds you know, a body of a man through which she gets to. Gets introduced to several characters which were in the dead man's life and wherever."

"The aspects of love that were explored in this book was what really attracted it to me. And I'm so glad I'll finally be able to finish finish it last night. "And when you meet a reader, a fellow reader, it's almost like, you know, oh my God, I see myself in this person, this character. And that's what this book is. It's magical. I mean, I don't know why people are not hyping this up more. But please read this book. I mean please, please, please. "A fairy tale retelling in recent times that I've read is Tikarella by Tanzania Glover. It's part of a three series with three books and Tickerella is based out of Cinderella, a retelling of Cinderella. And it talks about a woman who is plus size and she's black. Oh, I love it when I get to read black romance authors and it's not intense. Basically, people have this assumption that romance written by black authors is always intense or it's very serious."

"My favorite children's classic from when I was little was Alice in Wonderland. I just think that when it was read to me, my perception of the book was, regardless of what goes wrong, as long as you keep moving forward, you can always do something to set it right. So that's something that I would definitely recommend for anybody."
