Today I spent more energy angry about entry fees than I did on art, but that's okay because I still found some calls for entry to add to my list.
* daily for now, i'll see if changing the frequency is necessary/better.
In an attempt to incorporate the podcast into my daily studio practice, I'm trying out a daily journal where I go through the things I did in the day related to art and photography.
* The idea for now is daily, but I may choose to change it to a different frequency depending on work/life balance and so on.
I hope this format and style of show will be a conversational way to think about studio practice and daily life as an artist. I hope that it can be a series that will help you think about how you incorporate art in your daily life beyond the act of taking photos or making art. There's always more to your art practice than just the making.

Each year, I've been looking back at the prior year to decide what are some goals to work toward. Each time, it gets more realistic yet more in-line with my desires as an artist. I try to be specific with what I'm aiming for, but not so much that it becomes a kind of "assignment." I do this as opposed to a traditional resolution because resolutions lack specificity, which contributes to the common occurrence of resolutions being abandoned only a couple months into the year. I recommend every artist set goals for themselves, to make sure that you have things to strive for and keep in practice so you maintain your studio work, your field work, and your overall process and practice as a working artist.
