Randy welcomes the great Joe Bartnick back to the show. Joe is mourning the loss of his beloved dog Ruby and he shares some classic Ruby tales. Randy wonders if dogs understand death and if Joe’s other dog, Rosie, misses her friend. They talk about their own aging and how to stay relatively fit as middle aged men. This leads to a conversation about how each of them try to manage their weight gain every year. The fellas shift gears and talk about how much nicer LA is when you drive a big classic car, like a Cadillac. Joe tells some stories about the battles he’s had with school administrators. Randy asks Joe how he dealt with the LA fires. They close with the news - Nebraska’s “Safe Haven” law allows parents to drop kids off at the fire station regardless of age, and a study shows that rats on cocaine like jazz.
