As someone with almost a quarter century negotiating high value contracts, the stories behind the scenes of legendary negotiations is MY sport. Whether its business, sports, music etc.....I love learning the stories and lessons behind how these deals get done. This one is a classic case of finding the hungry audience and making sure they saw the value of this player to the organization. This is purely my opinion on how things happened. As with all success stories, the "overnight" part is always the part that is never explained. I will try to make sure it is here.
