Cathy Turney’s mission in life is to help her fellow real estate professionals laugh their way to sustained six-figure success which, as a real estate broker, she has been doing for twenty-five-plus years.
Laugh at the profession that puts a roof over heads, food in mouths, and mileage on bodies? Yes! Introducing a little levity can get you through pretty much anything in real estate. It soothes nerves, appeases the opposition, and shows the public that you’re human and fun to work with. They’ll want to hire you, to refer you, to pay you! Because as infinitely personally rewarding as a career in real estate can be, someone has to pay the bills.
But, who is Cathy Turney to opine on real estate? She is a San Francisco Bay Area real estate broker and managing partner at Better Homes Realty, Walnut Creek, CA. She has won numerous awards for sales and service and consistently ranks in the top ten percent for production, nationally, and has served on the Professional Standards Committee at the Contra Costa Association of Realtors. Cathy was one of the first real estate appraisers to be licensed in California and is a graduate of the University of California, Santa Cruz.
She is also an award-winning humorist and regular contributor to Emmy winner Judd McIlvain’s TroubleShooterJudd.com talk show, where she comments on real estate and news topics. Her humor column is published in The Concordian newspaper, and she has written for the San Francisco Chronicle, Catharsis Journal, and national magazines.
The Kindle version of Cathy's book, “Laugh Your Way to Real Estate Sales Success for Real Estate Agents, Wannabes, UsedToBes, and Those Who Love Them,” is available for pre-order now on Amazon. The paperback version will be available January 15th 2015.
