Self care is CRUCIAL and needs to be taken by everyone.  Do something that is just for you.  You dont have to be on every 6 seconds.  You are no good for anyone if you dont take care of yourself. 

Make sure you try and schedule at least an hour for yourself a week.  Especially if you are a mother!  We do so much for our families, its time we take care of ourselves!

I want to talk about an experience I had in a local mom group that I am in.  This episode was recorded the next day after the events and I had some things to get off my chest.  

Why is it that when black women are passionate or upset about something, we are labeled "Angry Black Women" but when  a white women does the same she is supported and praised.  Its upsetting that I have to watch what I say and  how I say it because I dont want to be perceived as that Angry Black Woman but enough is enough.  

Here is my rant and my true feelings.

I've been asked these questions over and over again and I figured why not record them in an episode.  Find out how and why I started my small business Jamison & Bexley, some hardships I have/am facing and what I am most proud of! 

You know your body better than anyone else.  Don't stop searching for answers when you feel not quite yourself. 

Listen to some examples of when I would not take no for an answer and didn't stop until I got the help I desperately needed! From physical health to mental health, there is NOTHING wrong with getting the help you so desperately need/desire!

This has been SOOO long in the making and I'm finally doing it! 

My name is Jennifer Sanger.  I am a wife, mother, small business owner of online children's boutique Jamison & Bexley and virtual kindergarten teacher to my 5 year old.  I am a Jane of all trades and I am happy to finally bring to life my first podcast.  

The real life struggles podcast will touch on topics such as marriage, small business ownership, BLM and everything in between.  I will be showing you my real and authentic self and hope you stay for the ride.  

Will also be having some guest speakers in the future tell their stories and their "struggles".  I am in no way a therapist or licensed to give advice.  But what I can do is tell you what I am struggling with and how I am dealing with it.
