There is great danger when we are in a time of plenty. As believers, our contentment is not in earthly riches, but in dwelling in the house of the Lord. And, our treasure is in living a life for God, all the time, and in every situation.

We must learn how to suffer well, and with expectation of the gift that comes with suffering. Our circumstances are God-ordained. And, if we suffer as Christ suffered, we will also be glorified together with Him.

We are God’s workmanship. We are also created in Christ Jesus for good works. God has a pattern of what a believer’s life is to be like. We live in a dying world, but we can flourish, with Christ as our example.

Our suffering is for a purpose. Paul accepted others neglectfulness as a lesson learned in following Christ. And, we can be certain that whether we are in a season of plenty or in a place of suffering, God loves us and wants us to lean on Him.

Do good to all, especially to those who are hurting. As believers, we are not exempt from suffering. But, we can get rich quick when we continue to serve others in spite of our own hardships.

Look for God-ordained opportunities that are all around you. He wants to use us as a supplier to help those in need as we make ourselves available for service. Random acts of kindness honor God, and will create a lasting impression of what Christianity is all about.

Run with the few.  Only the few walk in virtue, and meditate on what is praiseworthy. The road is broad that leads to destruction. But, the true believer takes the narrow path that leads to eternal life.

As believers, we need to fill our minds with the facts of God. The Christian must cling to His truth by reading the Word of God. For, when we keep our mind on spiritual things, and all that is good, we can stand against the attacks of the enemy.

When we ask the Lord to open the eyes of our hearts, the peace of God will surpass our understanding. And, His power will give us the strength to overcome the storms and difficulties of life.

We are to cast our cares upon the Lord, for He cares for us. This means to throw it in the direction of God, and let Him handle it. We are to bring Him all our prayers, for He is our high tower and our strength.
