Dr. Tan’s interests include origin of life and biodiversity, the relationship of organisms, molecular biotechnology method development, reproduction and signal transduction. Tan has written nearly 30 refereed journal articles, including several for the “Answers Research Journal,” and is the co-author, along with Rob Stadler of an eye opening book “The Stairway to Life: An Origin-of-Life Reality Check”, in which the authors specify requirements for the spontaneous formation of life and evaluate the prospects for natural processes to satisfy these requirements.

Genesis-Creation: A rock cannot make itself and a fire cannot burn forever. Matter cannot come from non-matter and a perpetual motion machine cannot exist. Therefore, the universe could not have made itself from nothing, nor could it have always been moving, churning, working, and burning. Another way to state these first two laws of thermodynamics is that the physical universe must have had a supernatural Creator sometime in the recent past. This study presents the scientifically compelling Genesis story. Of all men, Christians more than any are able to weave the latest findings into our understanding of the fabric of the universe. Since God created the physical universe, good science reveals God. While admitting that the species died out about 4,000 years ago, they insist the mammoth being dissected must have died "more than 130,000 years ago". And they include the obligatory homage to the climate change myth as well.
