  • Rebutting Hawaii's "Hotspot" Origin Pt. 3
In this third episode of this series on volcanism and Hawaii's origin, Real Science Radio's Bob Enyart and Fred Williams present five arguments against the hotspot hypothesis. (For example, "hotspot" island chains like in Hawaii and the Bermuda Rise have associated volcano chains at large angles and even almost perpendicular to the claimed movement of the plates. This series begins at rsr.org/kilauea and the hotshot rebuttal begins lat week at  rsr.org/hotspots. Our understanding of volcanism was affirmed in that first episode in studio by long-time national park chief ranger Mark Tanaka-Sanders from Hawaii's volcanic Haleakala NP!

  • Hawaii Hotspot Hypothesis Widely Discredited
Discredited Hotspot Model * Perpendicular Hotspot Chains? Real Science Radio's Bob Enyart and Fred Williams present the geology rebuttal to the "hotspot" explanation of the formation of the Hawaiian island chain. For example, "hotspot" island chains like in Hawaii and the Bermuda Rise have associated volcano chains at large angles and even almost perpendicular to the claimed movement of their plates. * Comments from Last Show: RSR's understanding of volcanism was affirmed last week in studio by long-time national park chief ranger Mark Tanaka-Sanders from Hawaii's volcanic Haleakala NP. And by popular demand (actually, per a request from BEL co-host Doug McBurney), the guys convert their comparison of modern to ancient lava flows from cubic meters into cubic miles. The largest eruption of the last few thousand years produced only 36 cubic miles of magma whereas the lava fields from earlier history (i.e., from during and shortly after the global flood) produced from thousands to millions of cubic miles of magma! This orders-of-magnitude contrast between modern and older lava flows provides evidence against the "uniformitarian" doctrine of secular geologists. * Hawaii's Kilauea Eruption & Uniformitarianism: With the Big Island's current volcanic eruption as the backdrop, Real Science Radio hosts Bob Enyart and Fred Williams provide counter examples to dispute the claimed uniformitarianism that leads old-earth geologists to the "hotspot" hypothesis for how the Hawaiian Islands formed. * Of Chief Ranger Fame: It turns out that Mark Tanaka-Sanders is shocked to hear the guys so openly disagree with the government's explanation of such things. Mark, of Chief Ranger fame, from Hawaii's volcanic Haleakala National Park, was instrumental in removing Yellowstone's false exhibit about petrified tree.

  • Dear NASA, Thanks For Taking Our Call
    * Water is the Enemy of the Origin of Life: During a prestigious science conference this week in Germany, a Science editor selected a question submitted by Real Science Radio and put it to a NASA astrobiologist regarding water being an enemy, and not an asset, to the supposed origin of life from inanimate matter. So while the left was distracted over its obsession with Trump, here at RSR we quietly snuck up to their perimeter and lobbed in a truth bomb. Bob Enyart and Fred Williams air the audio of news editor Tim Appenzeller asking the question, and then they listen to the response from senior “astrobiologist” Dr. Mary Voytek. Evolutionists often present their problems as though they were their solutions. RSR question asked of NASA during AAAS event in Germany * The Q: RSR asked this: “To Dr. Voytek, rather than an asset, isn’t water the enemy of prebiotic molecules? It’s the universal solvent and  outside of a living organism, water dissolves life’s building blocks life like amino acids, sugars like RNA and DNA, various kinds of carbohydrates, and other polymers. Shouldn’t this chemical challenge be more openly acknowledged in astrobiology?” One of our RSR challenges was posed today over in Germany as a question to a NASA astrobiologist by the news editor of Science. During this major AAAS event, the moderator  Tim Appenzeller asked Dr. Mary Voytek about the never publicly acknowledged problem that water presents in trying to get life's compounds to arise naturally. * From rsr.org/bb#abiogenesis... * Dear NASA, Water is the Enemy of Abiogenesis: Beware the ubiquitous bait-and-switch. Wherever water is found, NASA claims that would be a good place to search for evidence that life may have originated there. Yes, water is needed to maintain life. But as the universal solvent, outside of the controlled environment of a living organism, water relentlessly dissolves the chemical building blocks of life including: - amino acids (which form proteins) - sugars (including in the following) - RNA (ribonucleic acid) - DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) - monosaccharides - disaccharides - peptides (of all kinds) - non-peptide (Ribosome) enzymes - countless kinds of polymers - and all kinds of carbohydrates. The journal that this panel's moderator Tim Appenzeller works for, Science, reported that "water [is] lethal to the survival of DNA." The same goes for RNA and any fantastical RNA World, as even Stanley Miller, of 1952's Miller-Urey infamy, wrote in PNAS, "Sugars are known to be unstable in strong acid or base [and further] ribose [of RNA fame] and other sugars have surprisingly short half-lives for decomposition at neutral pH, making it very unlikely that sugars were available as prebiotic reagents." Thus monosaccharides and disaccharides, for example, dissolve rapidly. Scientific examination has always readily seen this evident pattern. In 1955, the first known investigation into original biological material remaining in fossils, conducted by the Carnegie Institute, stated, "Ultimately in the presence of water these peptide bonds are broken", peptides being two or more amino acids linked in a chain. As foundational compounds of all living organisms, peptides are significant throughout every cell and are vital in most biological processes. Peptides comprise all proteins, most enzymes, various hormones (including unicellular ones), they transport nutrients and are cellular building blocks. And water dissolves them. Enzymes perform and vastly speed up the chemical reactions necessary for life yet water destroys both peptide and non-peptide Ribosome enzymes (which are not made from amino acids but from RNA). Thus NASA, the BBC, ESA, Nova, and science educators like Bill Nye and Neil deGrasse Tyson, ubiquitously use a bait-and-switch to manipulate their audiences. Whereas molecules like DNA and RNA easily dissolve in water (including by deamination and depurination), materialists exploit their audiences' gullibility and ignorance, along with w

  • Huge Genetic Study: Recent Appearance of Animal Life!
Bob Enyart welcomes co-host Fred Williams back into the Real Science Radio studio after our series with Bryan Nickel. (You may want the accompanying Grand Canyon Special!) Bob and Fred preview next week's program on Hawaii's volcanic eruption and the "hotspot" hypothesis of how the Hawaiian Islands formed. Today they report on the inconvenient volcano beneath the Antarctic ice sheet that's promoting rapid glacier melt and the peer-reviewed study showing that religious people live five to ten years longer than others. The guys then share two blockbuster genetic studies. First, it turns out that our RNA gets "encrypted" and "decrypted" to prevent the wrong cellular "recipients" from reading the instructions. Secondly, the lead author for a study in the journal Human Evolution reports that “nine out of ten species on Earth today, including humans, came into being 100,000 to 200,000 years ago.” (Of course, as we’ve demonstrated with our List of Not So Old Things, evolutionists have a knee-jerk need to add zeros to the actual data, so if you want to know the truth, you usually have to talk off a zero or more! Then Mark Stoeckle says, “This conclusion is very surprising, and I fought against it as hard as I could.” With phys.org adding, “That reaction is understandable: How does one explain the fact that 90 percent of animal life, genetically speaking, is roughly the same age? Was there some catastrophic event 200,000 years ago that nearly wiped the slate clean?” The genetic bottleneck they’re talking about, that’s called, Noah’s Ark.  RSR Prediction: The genetic diversity pattern of plants will also directly affirm, without secondary assumptions, the biblical creation and flood accounts!

  • Einstein's Is and Ought
    * A Decade Back into the RSR Archives: [Note: Perhaps you can help RSR's BB video reach 800 views!] On this radio program, co-hosts Bob Enyart and creation speaker and engineer Fred Williams discuss articles from creation.com (then CreationOnTheWeb.com) for the March, April, & May 2008 Creation magazine. Letter from a Christian Citizen: Doug Wilson tells Creation magazine that the "philosopher David Hume (himself a skeptic) showed, several centuries ago, that there is no real way to get from 'is' to 'ought.' How do I get from a description of the way things are ... to the way they ought to be? ... Should a human mother care for her children... or eat them like some spiders do? Science doesn't give us ethical information." Btw, Fred is also the webmaster for the Creation Research Society. Show summary from rsr.org://bel/20080718: * Letter from a Christian Citizen: Doug Wilson tells Creation magazine that the "philosopher David Hume (himself a skeptic) showed, several centuries ago, that there is no real way to get from 'is' to 'ought.' How do I get from a description of the way things are ... to the way they ought to be? ... Should a human mother care for her children... or eat them like some spiders do? Science doesn't give us ethical information." To this American Right To Life would add, from their article, Einstein In His Own Words: "In 1936 Einstein famously wrote, 'the most incomprehensible thing about the world is that it is comprehensible,' and in 1944, remarking about Russell, he described the ability to get from matter to ideas as a 'gulf-logically unbridgeable,' which some scientists and linguists refer to as Einstein's Gulf, and in 1950, Einstein wrote that 'science can only ascertain what is, but not what should be,' necessarily excluding from its domain 'value judgments of all kinds.'" Creation magazine then observes the irony that "atheists... actually build their worldview by making illegitimate extrapolations from science." See also rsr.org/math and again, AmericanRTL.org/Einstein. * The Fish Wars: Atheists and evolutionists widely desecrate the Christian fish symbol by putting legs on it to symbolize evolution. Dr. Thomas Lessl of the University of Georgia researched the motivations and was told, "I did it to annoy the Christian right wing, since they are fond of putting the fish/Christ symbols on their cars..." and "Creationists are [expletive]... Humans are no better than chickens [BE: How does he know, has he tasted them?]... earthworms... algae or infectious salmonella..." [BE: Britain’s Prince Philip of the Worldwide Fund for Nature even wishes to be an infectious germ, saying that he would like to be reincarnated as a "killer virus to lower human population levels." Prince HIVlip, perhaps?] Dr. Lessl commented, "By inserting Darwin's name in the place of the fish icon usually reserved for Christ, the icthus symbol is ritually profaned." Christians of course have responded with a larger Jesus fish eating the Darwin fish. And BEL adds to the mix an alien fish standing on end bearing Dawkins' name to illustrate the atheist's claim in the documentary Expelled that microbiology may provide evidence that life on earth may be the result of intelligent design from somewhere out there in the universe! Richard Dawkins added that such an alien species would most likely have evolved by some Darwinian mechanism. He seemed unaware, as atheists tend to be, that this claim merely punts the issue of origins, since the origin of life on another planet would face the same dilemma as life arising on earth. Yet atheists commonly put hope in aliens with no logical defense of their blind faith. Richard Dawkins: "Well, [the origin of life on earth] could have come about in this way: The evidence may show, as we look at the complexity, as we look at the genetic mechanisms, that might be evidence that a long time ago, far far away in another galaxy, that there was a civilization that evolved by Darwinian means. And that civiliza

  • Hydroplate Theory Explanation for the Grand Canyon
June is Grand Canyon Month at RSR! Real Science Radio host Bob Enyart concludes with Part 5 his series with Bryan Nickel. If you Google: origin of the Grand Canyon, you'll see that Dr. Walt Brown's explanation is ranked #1 out of a million related websites. Further, because the entire region is unique in the world, we expect, and it turns out to be true, that the same causes that excavated the canyon also explain the many wonders of the region’s many National Parks and geological tourist attractions. So RSR offers our Grand Canyon Special for $100 which includes three of Dr. Brown's In the Beginning books, DVDs of Bryan Nickel's and Mike Snavley's complimentary videos on the origin of the canyon, and an audio disc of this 5-part radio series! Today's program first answers the argument that the now extinct Grand Lake never existed. And then Bob and Bryan present in 18 sequential steps the Grand and Hopi Lakes breached-dams explanation for the Grand Canyon!

  • Plagiarism & the Canyon’s Initial Conditions
June is Grand Canyon Month at RSR! Real Science Radio host Bob Enyart continues with Part 4 of his Bryan Nickel interview. First Bob presents the two main reasons why leading creationists have steered people away from Dr. Walt Brown, namely, the canopy theory and plagiarism. (See the canopy reason documented in RSR's flood video and the plagiarism documentation here.) Then Bryan Nickel describes how Walt's Hydroplate Theory explains what the geology of the region and what it was like before the canyon was catastrophically carved. Beginning with the parallel boundaries and flat gaps between the region's strata: - The uniform layers and how their parallel boundaries and flat gaps came to be (Answer: Liquefaction!) - The newly formed Colorado Rockies and how they were raised up so quickly - The "great unconformity" at the bottom of the canyon's horizontal layers where the strata is suddenly all tilted and beveled off - The Colorado Plateau of more than 100,000 square miles of rock rising thousands of feet into the air and how it got up there - The two ancient great lakes, Hopi and Grand Lakes raised thousands of feet higher than the surrounding terrain - The water-saturated sedimentary layers beneath and around these lakes, and - The last initial condition is actually something that was not there until the excavation, the Kaibab Plateau! * The Hydroplate Theory Special: You may want to purchase this set of resources if...   1) You'd like to read the best creation book ever written and watch its accompanying videos   2) You like Real Science Radio and want to help it stay on the air   3) You'd like to give the gift of understanding creation and the flood to someone who could really benefit from it.  * Want to Go from Geology to Cosmology? Here's RSR's latest science video:

  • List of Problems with 'The Flood Carved the Canyon'
Why parallel strata? June is Grand Canyon Month at RSR! Real Science Radio host Bob Enyart continues his Bryan Nickel interview on the origin of the Grand Canyon. (See parts 1 & 2.) Just as much evidence disproves the claim that the river carved the canyon, likewise, the following list of evidence disproves the claim that the floodwaters carved canyon. (The list continues just below Bryan's video.) RSR's List of Problems with 'The Flood Carved the Canyon' - There is only one Grand Canyon: Floodwaters were running off the continents all over the world. Yet they didn't carve seven, or dozens, or hundreds of similar sites. Rather, the Grand Canyon is only one of the seven wonders of the world. Because floodwaters ran off the continents worldwide, if they had sufficient energy to carve such canyons into the continents, then in North America alone such wonders could exist in the northeast, the Midwest, the south, in Canada, and Mexico. And quite of few similar flood runoff canyons could pockmark the Earth, in South America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia. But there is only one Grand Canyon! - The walls of the canyon did not slump in on themselves: Enough time had to pass after the global flood for the sediments in the strata to partially cement into rock so that the walls of the canyon stood firm and didn't just slump in on themselves. The enormous number of steep and even sheer cliffs throughout the 277-mile long and 5,000-foot deep canyon testify to the requirement that the flood-deposited wet sediments (sand and mud) had to sufficiently cement into rock to hold back the billions of tons of sediments immediately behind them. - The Kaibab Limestone had to fully harden to resist the great denudation: Enough time had to pass for the Kaibab limestone layer to solidify so that the waters of the massive sheet erosion that produced the great denudation would be stopped at it's depth. For  10,000 square miles, an average of one thousand feet of sedimentary layers above the Kaibab (and hence, above the rim of the canyon itself) were catastrophically eroded away, before the canyon could even begin to be excavated. But the massive waters of that sheet erosion were rebuffed by the hardened Kaibab, which layer prevented that flow from eroding further downward into the sedimentary layers (except for where those waters broke through and carved the canyon). - (THIS PAGE IS UNFINISHED. We hope to complete this written summary before we conclude this series on June 29th.) - Before the canyon was carved the Colorado Plateau had to be uplifted by the magma pumped below it from the gradual settling back into the mantle of the Rocky Mountains. (Two great lakes were uplifted a mile above sea level on that plateau creating the potential energy needed to excavate the canyon). - The many arches in the region needed time for their uneven cementing of sediments to occur before the softer sediments around them were swept away. - The warm, silica-rich post-flood waters had to sufficiently cool to chemically create what is today Petrified National Forest by the silica precipitating out of solution and petrifying thousands of trees. - Like the Babylonian, Navajo, Chinese, etc., cultural recollections of the global flood, so too the Navajo people have an account of the forming of the canyon, which then dramatically lowered the groundwater tables so that the region that supported large populations of Anasazi and others now became a forbidding dry desert. - The biogeographical distribution of a species of squirrels on the north and south rims of the canyon strongly suggest that those animals had migrated to the region before they were then suddenly separated by the nearly 300-mile long canyon. * The Hydroplate Theory Special: You may want to purchase this set of resources if...   1) You'd like to read the best creation book ever written and watch its accompanying videos   2) You like Real Science Radio and want to help it stay on the air   3) You'd like to g
