Neat and tidy. That's how I like my cupboards and my life. However, my cupboards rarely look that way. My life too if I'm honest. There's a felt tension between my circumstances and my faith. I can be tempted to put my head in the sand and not see my circumstances for what they are. Or to be so overwhelmed by my circumstances that I can't see how God could move. Jody and Shawna wrestle through what it looks like to live in the tension that our circumstances are real and having the faith to believe that there isn't any circumstance God cannot change. We all came running into 2025 with grand ideas about what we were going to do differently and how we were going to be different. How’s it going? Shawna said it would be a year of decluttering. Jody said she was going to have a weekly deep soaking time with the Lord. Among other things we talked about going after in 2025 Jody and Shawna check in with one another and encourage each other(and you) to keep going!!!!

What keeps you from meeting face to face with Jesus? Are you just so busy? Man, we get that. Are you afraid? Us too. And yet the One who loves you longs to be WITH you - to tell you the truth in the most loving, perfect way. As we learn to abide in Christ we get the incredible privilege and blessing of being WITH the One who is WITH us! And loves us!!!!! And there’s more! Jody and Shawna talk about the natural outcomes that come from abiding. Things like joining God in the work He’s doing in other’s lives, a heart that wants to obey Him, knowing our true identity in Him, joy, maturity and oh my goodness so much more!!! It’s God’s good and beautiful plan that as we abide in Him and He in us that the world may believe in Jesus!

Linger…stay…these words draw us in close. These words express desire for closeness. In John 15 Jesus invites us to remain in Him. It’s an invitation to live in Hiim. He doesn’t want to stop by for coffee, He wants to bring His toothbrush and do life together.
