Real Synthetic Audio For iTunes

After being corrected yet again, I can say that this week I pronounce Dark Chisme correctly! Hopefully my usual German schtick "translates" well into Spanish. But we've got a nice upbeat show for everyone this week as we hit some instrumental tracks and some upbeat EBM/Synthpop. Don't forget that we have a new Shirt Sale and these shirts will only be sold off this order, so get your hands on an exclusive!

I hope everyone enjoyed the best of show from last week. They always take a lot of time and I inevitably have to cut a song or two out, and I usually agonize over the final selection for like a week. But we're diving right into 2024 with both a new Shirt Sale and a brand new show as we approach the 2024 membership drive. Lots of great prizes for everyone this year!

This is it! The restrospective for 2023, the best of! This year was much more low key for music than recently, not as many all time club bangers, but a lot of great stuff was released. We've got a couple of covers this year, but if I were to sum up the "theme" for this years show it would be lyrics. From the singing styles of Electra Black, the story told by Probe 7, or stuff falling apart and Eva X singing "And yes I'll take these things in stride." Wonderful stuff that was fun to compile, so I'm releasing it a day or so early so you can enjoy this at your NYE party!

A very Merry Christmas to everyone, especially those who are working today. Once upon a time I worked every Christmas so my co-workers could spend time with their families. Now I'm getting the show done 6 days in advance because I have so much stuff going on over the holidays! But that means that I have to get something special, a gift to you. So what else am I going to do than take a small trip down memory land as I play some favourites that have made thier way into the generic "EBM" folder on my phone.

Crazy weekend so far. Woken at 6am on Saturday by the super saying there was a flood and I needed to "sandbag" my door with towels. No water or power all day. Thank god for my habits of keeping everything charged after use. So with that said, I finished the show this morning and was like "Thats enough for now. I'm exhausted." But I gave the show another "proof listen" and caught my (first?) second wind. So if I'm a tad incoherent for once I have I good reason other than general reocurring brain farts.

Its been a busy week here at RSA central. Firstly I had a test print done and I can say that we'll have another RSA T-Shirt shortly, and we should be taking orders in January. It'll be announced at the same time as we do the annual best of show on January 1! I went through the suggestions I got, added my own opinions and managed to get the best of show done last night. I'll probably get some finalization done on it over the next week, but the holiday season will be full of great music for everyone! Tearing Apart - Shelter (Circured) Gauthier - Until Dawn J:Dead - Harbour Aiboforcen - Katarsis (Patrice Synthea) BEKIMACHINE - Crescent (Blood Moon) X Marks The Pedwalk - Fading Waves Neon Space Men - Seeds Of Love (Superikone) Scala - It's No Good http://synthetic.org/ https://synthetic.threadless.com/ https://www.youtube.com/@RealSyntheticAudio

The prizes keep wandering in for the 2024 membership drive, make sure you follow us on FB or Instagram to see what comes in each week! Whats also coming in, or maybe "together" is a better word, but the best of for 2023 is mostly picke dout, but I still look to you for suggestions. I'm only about 1/2 of the way through listening to all of RSA in 2023. Hopefully you have some suggestions! Blazej Malinowski - Madness Pending Position - Lick My Legs (Ruined Conflict) GBxCL - Belt Of Constraint Presence Of Mind - The Fall (Edit) Merry Chiklit - Deine Wut Ist Gut (Nature Of Wires) Unitcode Machine - Surface Absurd Minds - Long Before Formato Negativo - Radioactivo http://synthetic.org/ https://synthetic.threadless.com/ https://www.youtube.com/@RealSyntheticAudio

OK, now we're in the race to Christmas and I have to get cracking on the annual "best of" show for 2023. I have a lot of tracks selected, but as always I'm looking for your input! There's always a gem or two that my ears miss and the collective listenership of RSA does catch. The prizes are rolling in for the 2024 membership drive. Thats a few months away, but there may be surprises. I also have an idea for possibly doing another round of more simplified T-Shirts. The Threadless store has been a bit of a disappointment, but I think I have a new line on making a new simplified shirt. Getting a sample or two made now. Color Theory - The Rot (Raindancer) NNHMN - Your Body (Video Edit) NeuroWulf - Reborn PreEmprive Strike 0.1 - Marauders From Earth Chiasm - Cut Right Through (A23) Absurd Minds - The Moral Men (Intent Outtake) Super Dragon Punch!! - Rise (Last Activity) Espermachine - Love And Pain http://synthetic.org/ https://synthetic.threadless.com/ https://www.youtube.com/@RealSyntheticAudio

Had a bit of an existential crisis last week, wondering if RSA has become irrelevant. Once upon a time I did an interview with I Die: You Die and when the topic of is there any end in sight, I commented that what would probably be the end was when RSA became irrelevant. Couple that with some back end technical issues that have been driving me bananas and I suddenly wondered if that time had come. A friend of mine once asked if "Imposter syndrome" ever goes away. It doesn't, but I let my mind run away with the worst possible scenario and quite frankly I'm still recovering. The mind is a terrible thing to taste. But I got through the week and got this weeks show up! Nano Infect - Danceslut (Massiv In Mensch) Gauthier - Submission Robota Robotny - UFOs Im Kornfeld Unitcode Machine - Blind Dead Lights - I Am Electric Nuquatron - Authentizaitat Disappearer - Magia Mildreda - Prophecies (Fix8Sed8) http://synthetic.org/ https://synthetic.threadless.com/ https://www.youtube.com/@RealSyntheticAudio

Got some prizes in this week, pins and magnets! Next step, lets get some more stickers made up. In this weeks show I touch on protecting your hearing a bit. Got my hearing checked this week, and its surprisingly good barring the tinnitus. Wear ear plugs at shows if you can, and maybe turn the volume down a bit on your headphones. I've also posted a poll in the Facebook group. I'm looking to see how you "consume" RSA so I can maybe tweak a few things and make life easier for everyone. I'd also like to apologize for lateness in email notifications. It would seem my web host isn't able to properly monitor mail queues. So I'm having to wait hours, open a ticket, wait a day, and basically do the email all over. But we're working on it! In other news we have a brand new show for you with some great music across a few sub genres! Espermachine - Heavy Modulation Absurd Minds - Gravitas (Neuroticfish) FabrikC - Death By Hanging Merry Chiklit - Deine Wut Ist Gut (Restriction 9) NeuroWulf - Exposure Cygnosic - Destiny Darkness On Deamnd - Ban Of Truth Parralox - Goodbye Berlin (DMT Berzerk) http://synthetic.org/ https://synthetic.threadless.com/ https://www.youtube.com/@RealSyntheticAudio
