Real Synthetic Audio For iTunes

I'm still trying to figure out what I should be giving away as prizes, especially at the "Everyone gets something" level. If you have any idea, please reach out. Optical media is dead, and I might have to raise the "minimum" donation from $25 to do anything else, and I'm loathe to do that. I honestly enjoy sending out stuff to everyone! But thats February Todd's problem. November Todd has a great show for everyone! Mind.In.A.Box - Integrate (Club) PreEmptive Strike 0.1 - Ressurective Hunger (Kriistal Ann) Cybermode Beats - Welcome To Night City First Aid 4 Souls - Now You See Me (Vain Sancrosact) Void_R - Celebration Morphose - All Comes Back To You (Sven Friedrich) Zanias - Simulation (Alen Skanner) Unitcode Machine - Surface http://synthetic.org/ https://synthetic.threadless.com/ https://www.youtube.com/@RealSyntheticAudio

Had another interaction this week with a listener who stopped listening for whatever reason a decade ago, decided to look us up and voila! Here we are still putting together great shows for everyone. This sort of thing happens more often than you'd expect, I suspect people coming and going has a lot to do with finishing school, changing jobs, etc. I tried once again to get RSA on Spotify, but no dice. RSA is listed in practically every podcast directory, but sometimes I wonder if the time for something like this has passed. But lets see if we can make it to 30 years. If anything you can stream a lot of older shows on YouTube. But on with a great new show with some wonderful new music! Moris Blak - Fallen Suns (Rabbit Junk) Revolt - Mental Ritual Super Dragon Punch!! - Rise (Modulate) Mind.In.A.Box - The Death Of White (Master Mechanic) Endanger + DSTRTD SGNL - Superficial Love (Grendel) EAS - Walk The Earth Darkness On Demand - Volle Kraft Vorraus Syncfactory - The Truth http://synthetic.org/ https://synthetic.threadless.com/ https://www.youtube.com/@RealSyntheticAudio

I've also shifted to working on RSA during the day when there's ya know, daylight. This time of year gets hard for everyone as the days get shorter and darkness envelopes us all. At least with working from home I don't get that feeling of never seeing the sun all winter. But this week I took my time, worked on the show a bit every day and came up with some really neat recent releases that I know you'll love. It was also really cool to be "able" to play Klaus Nomi. Never thought that day would come! Darkness On Demand - White Clouds Noemi Aurora - Shining Unitcode Machine - Emptiness TEVALIK - Freakstreet (Restriction 9) Klaus Nomi - Keys Of Life (The Hacker) Cygnosic - Moving On Emmon - Purebloods (Majestoluxe Dancefloor) Simon Carter - Lost In Space http://synthetic.org/ https://synthetic.threadless.com/ https://www.youtube.com/c/RealSyntheticAudio

Actually surprised myself on Saturday and sat down to finish RSA only to find that Thursday Todd was thinking ahead and got everything done. Since the cycling season is over, and I don't think it really affected things this year, but we'll be back to posting the show earlier on the weekend rather than Sunday or even Monday at the last minute. Yes, soon comes the darkness where I get all spooky and work on RSA in the (near) dark. Luckily I ditched the goth and its no longer working by candlelight, its LEDs baby! System Syn - Where Is The Love I Was Promised Simon Carter - Let Music Live Forever (Ruined Conflict) DSTRTD SGNL - Superficial Love (Endanger Club) Electra Black - New Life New Light IIOIOIOII - Last King Cybermode Beats - Demon Hunt Lifelong Corporation - Fascinating (World Mix) Any Second - Firefly http://synthetic.org/ https://synthetic.threadless.com/ https://www.youtube.com/c/RealSyntheticAudio

Last night was a lot of fun spinning in Toronto again, I don't think there will be another local gig, I'm actually quite comfortable just working on RSA each week and getting new music out for everyone to hear. I wish there was a little more interaction, but I just think about the person who's listening while working, or even going back to an "ancient" show (we're down to 2006 on YouTube!) and remember that a lot of people just want to listen, and be entertained while doing crazy stuff. Like taking a train across China. I like those stories. Neuroklast - Chrome Monk AD_Key - Two Souls (Martin Bodewell) ES23 - Now Presence Of Mind - Lonely Like Me Darkness On Demand - Stagnation The Grab Society - Underrated (Nature Of Wires) NeuroWulf - Forsaken Blinky Blinky Computerband - Momentum http://synthetic.org/ https://synthetic.threadless.com/ https://www.youtube.com/c/RealSyntheticAudio

I swear I pick the tracks at random, but I must admit I have a good ear. Otherwise I wouldn't be doing this successfully, now would I? But I have the sneaking suspicion that there may be not 1 but 2 tracks in this weeks show that make their way onto the end of the year Best Of show. One final reminder that this coming Saturday October 7th I'll be doing a couple of live sets at the Sanctuary reunion, so come down! https://www.facebook.com/events/622705113341923 Mind.In.A.Box - Activate Void_R - Domination Massiv In Mensch - Nordseesturm (Extended) Electra Black - Nothing That I Miss Bratri - Lost Juno System Syn - The Light Was A Lie Dead Lights - Receiver Missing In Stars - The Sinners http://synthetic.org/ https://synthetic.threadless.com/ https://www.youtube.com/c/RealSyntheticAudio

I've started thinking about prizes and swag to give away in the 2024 membership drive, but it could be a chaotic drive this year with me uploading shows while tethered to my phone. Possibility of a move coming up and I'll need to get my ducks in a row to have a nice seamless "transfer" like I did in 2019. I've also been toying with Sanctuary sets. Can't go full retro. I've done a lot of stuff since that place closed in 2001. Barring any utterly exceptional circumstances this will be the last time I do a live set in Toronto. Mind.In.A.Box - Drowning In The Fire Hexmaschine - Kepler-186 Stars Crusaders - Ishtar (Fadererhead) Stahlnebel & Black Selket - Leblos 2022 CZARINA - Wonderland Lifelong Corporation - This Life (Diva) Fractal Age - Thunderstorm Degenerated Sequences - Interstellar http://synthetic.org/ https://synthetic.threadless.com/ https://www.youtube.com/c/RealSyntheticAudio

First off apologies to folks for having to miss last weekends Risque. I went all the way to Washington DC just to get sick. But my hosts were wonderful, and I know that much fun was had even in my absence. Plus I still managed to get a chance to hang out with David Chamberlain from Entrzelle for a couple of hours. Add all that together, plus some time to recuperate and I'm back at 100%. Bow all I have to do is figure out what the heck I'm going to play at the Sanctuary reunion in Toronto on October 7th.First off apologies to folks for having to miss last weekends Risque. Getting ready for labour day as we take a day off and celebrate those workers who fought for stuff we take for granted, like a 40 hour work week. Now if we could only do something about vacations in North America. Took me 12 years to get a "European" length of vacation time, and if I'm *really* lucky I'll get some more time at year 15. But I'll probably be laid off before then anyhow! So lets all enjoy some great music and forget about work. Just a reminder: I'll be appearing at RISQUE in Washington DC on September 9th, and a Sanctuary reunion in Toronto on October 7th. Sono - Disconnect Simon Carter - Breakout Zone Tripper - Accelerate Wiegand - Then Came You Elektrofish - Augusttag (The Hidden Man) Discotheque - Post Human Love Kim Lunner - In This Lifetime Blinky Blinky Computerband - Never Be Mine http://synthetic.org/ https://synthetic.threadless.com/ https://www.youtube.com/c/RealSyntheticAudio

Labour day slowly approaches, and with it the feeling that "Summer is over." But Fall is the best time of year for breaking out the dark clothing and that leather jacket thats been in the back of your closet for almost a year. Pasty white flesh is going to be the norm again, so we can rejoice and still put on SPF 50 because skin cancer is no joke. Pallid complexion or not! Just a reminder: I'll be appearing at RISQUE in Washington DC on September 9th, and a Sanctuary reunion in Toronto on October 7th.
