Real Talk Friend Therapy: Honest Conversations, Advice + Tips For Stronger Adult Friendships episodes

  • EP 6: Married At First Sight Denver and Toxic Hype Behavior in Friendships (#FriendshipGoals)

From movies to reality tv, friendship is a key relationship that always exists on these programs.

But which relationships are goals and which relationships are an "OH HELL NO!"

Within this new format, Daysha will dig deeper into friend groups/duos portrayed in popular culture to see what we take away from these portrayals that can help us make new friends or deepen our current friendships.

The first group dynamic to be explored this week is the ladies of season 17 of popular dating show, Married At First Sight: Denver.

Daysha could not help but notice this season that the women seemed to be hyping each other up to be the worst version of themselves and wanted to dig deeper into how they got there.

  • EP 4: #WhyAreWeFriends FT. Becky Harris

Making friends at any stage in life can feel extremely nerve-wracking. But it's definitely not impossible--in fact, many of us have done it once before unconsciously.

So, within this new recurring series on the podcast, #WhyAreWeFriends, Daysha decides to investigate the origins of her own friendships to see how she became friends with the people in her own circle.

She hopes these conversations will help viewers get inspiration on how they can start up friendships in their own life AND get clarity on how they can be better friends to the people currently in their life.

  • EP 3: What Is Friendship?

Becky, one of Daysha's best friends and a producer on this podcast, gave Daysha the biggest badge of honor when she said that last week's meditation episode made her want to try meditation.

Why was this such an honor--because Becky is definitely team anti-woo woo. But, despite their differences on this, Daysha and Becky still maintain a strong friendship and this week, Daysha uses this as a jumping off point to discuss:

    - What is friendship?

    - Are all friendships created equal?

-How can we get more clear about the types of friendships we have with people?

    - And how is it even possible to have friends who think differently from us?!

  • EP 2: Thoughts, Feelings + Meditation (#BetterYouBetterFriend)

In order to attain those high-quality friends that we seek, we have to BE that high-quality friend ourselves.

So, this week's episode is part of a new recurring series on the podcast called #BetterYouBetterFriend, and focuses on tools, exercises and personal stories that are meant to help you become a better friend by becoming a better version of yourself.

Daysha has struggled for years to choose the right type of friends to have in her circle. And after meeting a psychic who warned her of rising jealousy in one of her relationships, she decided to utilize meditation to help her gain more insight into her mind and the state of her relationships.

In this episode, she offers up her own personal experience with meditation and how it can be an amazing tool to help those struggling with negative self-talk, low self-confidence and those who struggle to trust their inner wisdom.

  • EP 1: Why Aren't We Friends?

The last time Daysha started a podcast, she did it with someone she considered a friend.

But going through the process really put their "friendship" to the test in ways that taught Daysha A LOT about what she actually needed in her friendships going forward.

So, she decided to go at it again solo, and rebrand the podcast to create a space to get real about what we need in our friendships and non-romanic relationships.

In this episode, Daysha will introduce herself and breakdown why a lot of adults today are feeling SO lonely-- it's literally being called a loneliness epidemic.

But not to fear, because Daysha is here to help her listeners level up themselves and their friendships. Get ready for some wild stats and good vibes y'all!
