Democratic U.S. Rep. Ayanna Pressley (Mass.) introduced legislation Wednesday to lower the federal election voting age from 18 to 16. I submit we do something else, I submit we RAISE the voting age for Congress to 25 and for the president to 30 years old. 

I am sure some of you think that voting is a dog and pony show and none of it matters but, I would like to have this iscussion while someone is talking about voting and voting age.

I fear that I would use these examples and oversimplified these complex matters, but I am of the mind that the social system in America has played some "slight of hand" with the "enemy" of "people of color." 

Please give what I am saying a bit to settle in your tummy before you discount then out of hand.

In all the time I have been paying attention to the god-awful messaging from Republicans and the right, in general, this cycle is different. The left in its effort to oust Donald Trump have given Republicans a present they have never been able to give themselves. Let's talk about it!

Today I get to talk with Vinny Tafuro the author of Unlocking the Labor Cage about the Univeral Basic Income. This is being touted be presidential candidate Andrew Yang. Vinny explains how this might be done and the feasibility of doing it. He also brings a negative income tax idea to the show.

Looks like 2016 Republicans. There are a buttload lining up to get the Democrat nomination. We are going own the list today to give you a preview of them before they quit the race.

Seems to me that some people on the right have a bad habit of not giving credence to some of the more outspoken people on the Left. They seem to dismiss them as kooks and idiots. They don't think that anyone "in their right mind" is buying any of what "those people" are selling. I think most of us live deep in our own "echo chambers" and only hear and see what people like us are hearing and seeing. This is the danger of the "common sense" model we try to use.

Common Sense is only common to people that see and understand things the same way. Common Sense isn't some over-arching thought that "everyone" gets. 

A great deal of the political talk I hear from the Right about Cory Booker, Nancy Pelosi, Beto O'Rourke and Alexandria Cortes is often dismissive. I think there is great danger in not taking a serious position against these people.

It is time to stop trying to sanitize this ntional and international horror. Abortion is murder is an infant. There is no "other side" to this.

You know as I watch social media concerning the State of the Union address last night, some of the weirdest criticism came from those that consider themselves "Right-Wing Patriots."  As many of you know I have been in this "game" for a long time. The episode is number 2478! So I have seen and said a great deal about a great deal. But I have not experienced a time like this. The negative nature of some of the people on the right is really getting too much to take. The tit for tat nature of discussion being pushed as important debate is more than frustrating. 

I am also fed up with the digging out negative things in a sea positive. People think they are being critical and idealogically pure when what the are really doing is annoying. 

Today I am going to read passages from the State of the Union Address and see what you think about them.

This SOTU drama is about to wear me out. It is tonight an entire 7 days "late." Will it the typical crap show put on by the congressional drones? My guess is yes.

Regardless of presidential politics, education is always a hot issue. Politicians always promise if elected, better schools. But is it even possible with the current model we are using in the United States?

When trying to have this conversion it is difficult not to become too specific. We always related to our current situation and condition and worse yet, our experience as a student.  

Systems don't like paradigm shifts and fight to maintain the status quo. The public education system has many forces pushing it to reject major paradigm shifts. 

This episode will attempt to start a national discussion of education in America and is it working?
