While on his world tour, Spanish-born YouTube star Leroy Sanchez stopped by YouTube Space Toronto (before his sold out show) to sing and give an intimate talk about his career. The viral Youtuber is currently in the middle of a tour that stems across parts of Europe, the United States, and Canada. Leroy sat down with Dre Pao to give an exclusive interview and offer artists some words of encouragement. Sanchez explains that there can often be a lot of pressure for artists to constantly be uploading new material in order to maintain their presence online. When he is in the zone, Leroy explains that he releases a new cover as often as once every 1 to 2 weeks. Although there is always a demand for a lot of material, Leroy explains that it is important to keep art authentic and genuine. After recently being nominated for “Best Rock Group” at the 2017 Juno Awards, Monster Truck is currently in top form. On Episode #2, guitarist Jeremy Widerman spoke with Dre Pao about his excitement for the upcoming awards and openly expressed how much the band has evolved since winning their first Juno Award back in 2013. The Monster Truck guitarist spoke openly and genuinely about his opinion on the current state of music and expressed what it is like to be one of the few true rock n’ roll bands in Canada. He explained that the band [Monster Truck] has no plans of conforming to the mainstream music industry’s heavy demand for pop music. “We’re kind of just letting it happen. It’s going to happen around us, but we’re going to stay the course”. Jeremy explains that it is important to not let down fans by simply following what everyone else is doing.
