Marcela, who has schizoaffective disorder, has experienced numerous mental health episodes, one of which made her aware of the importance of well-informed police officers providing compassionate support during a crisis, drawing on critical information and insights on de-escalation techniques. Marcela likes to paint, take pictures, and help others. She is on an advocacy journey to make people living with mental illness feel more secure and independent, even as they move from one city to another. It’s one of the reasons why she signed up for MedicAlert seven years ago when she realized the generic medical ID she had purchased at the drugstore was not enough to protect her.

Amanda is a beautiful singer, songwriter, and all-around amazing human being. We share many similarities with respect to life and the overall mindset of making the world a better place. I learned about her experience singing with The Backstreet Boys and her audition for Canadian Idol. Amanda is a rising STAR.

The human beatbox is a form of vocal percussion using the mouth, lips, and tongue. Mr. Killa Beats has mastered the art of the perfect beat. He is a 2x Unity 2v2 Beatbox Champion in 2012 & 2013 and Great North Tag-Team Champion 2015. He also gives back by sharing his knowledge as an Arts Educator for the youth.
