One of the keys of the abundant Christian life is often overlooked because we see it as being too simple or it is assumed that we do it. The key is letting God be Himself. We must see God as He really is and not as we want to remake Him.

If God intends for us to live as Jesus lived on this earth, then how do we do this. The question can only be answered by observing how Jesus lived and imitate His lifestyle as well as His character.

There are many things that try to hinder us from following Jesus and be His disciple. At one point in time we may have said yes to God, but those who are in the kingdom continue to say yes.

The message of the Bible is God’s history of redemption, the redemption of man. A type or illustration of that redemption is the plight of the leper in the Old Testament. As the leper was an outcast so Christ rescues sinners through His being cast outside of the camp.

How can salvation be free and yet costly? In this text Jesus tells would be followers the cost involved in being His disciple. How does this cost to be a disciple square with the free offer of the Gospel? Jesus answers the question in this text.

Today's church culture has stripped discipleship from Christianity. But such is not possible. Discipleship is integral to the Christian faith. Jesus gave four requirements to being His disciple. Without these requirements you cannot be a disciple of Jesus Christ.

The term undiscipled disciple is an odd designation, but, unfortunately, it happens. And it happens a great deal! Many churches are full of these kind of people. Michael Durham gives four ways to transition a church of undiscipled disciples to a community of disciples who make disciples.
