This week we explore what it is to forgive. What does forgiving really mean, and is the price too high sometimes?  Could it be that we find it so difficult to forgive, because we are not ready to let go of the anger yet? - and how do we go about letting go of that which has hurt us?

Pride raises so many conflicting responses.  On one hand it seems to be associated with positive effect, as a consequence of what we perceive as valuable, but at the same time, there are also negative connotations associated with pride.

Sometimes the hardest thing to do it to be ourselves - specially when there are expectations or assumptions made that force us into acting in a way that hides our true, vulnerable and authentic self.  What it takes to be real is a journey in itself, and having the right people with you along the way makes all the difference.

What is it about toxic relationships that cut us to the quick, and why is it sometimes so hard to come to terms with let alone move on from that toxic situation?  I mean let’s be honest - this experience can come from anywhere - it is not limited to partners, spouses, or exes for that matter - this experience can come from within family - those who we are supposed to be closest to, who are supposed to be part of the unit and bond you are born into -,  or friends, who you have trusted with your deepest, most intimate vulnerabilities - only to be betrayed, and perhaps even threatened. It can take a long time to get over, let alone come to terms with what was a toxic relationship...

Most of us want to be successful - however that might look, but at the same time it is something we struggle with, because it could mean that we end up spending time in a space that is uncomfortable, and for us to have a different outcome we are forced into taking uncomfortable action.

Sometimes,  despite the workload building up, or family commitments, or even the burden of responsibility, by working through what we need to, at a pace that is consistent and steady, our progress becomes more fluid,  and so too does the momentum and rate at which we are able to progress and move forward.

There was a discussion amongst the Real and unrefined team earlier this week, in which we were talking about the next podcast, and the suggestion was made that we should talk about making the most of the here and now - What started that discussion off was the observation, that as we moved past the mid-point in the year, we were closer to 2030 than we were to 2010!

... today we explore the conversation we have when we talk to ourselves in our own minds. That inner critic, the seemingly incessant inside voice that can either keep us motivated and on track or bring us down limiting our ability to believe in ourselves and reach our true potential.

... Putting things off doesn't make it go away, but sometimes it is the space that we need.  Procrastination.  Why do we do it?
