Reality is Optional with Kris Rubio episodes
- Armed Homeowners, 90s Workout Parties & The Meaning of ‘Screenshot’ | Reality is Optional
In today’s episode of Reality is Optional, we’re covering:
• A home intruder who learned the hard way that some homeowners don’t wait for the cops when they have a gun.
• A 90s-themed workout class packed with 40-year-olds (like me) dancing like it’s 1999.
• The Random Word of the Day: ‘Screenshot’—where we break it down in the most unnecessary way possible.

10 min - Cease-Fire, Elevator Oversharers, and the Plague of Recommendations
Why is “cease-fire” only a war term? You never hear it at a dive bar when two guys are about to throw hands over a pool game. Let’s change that. Also, let’s talk about people who overshare in elevators—because why does a 10-second ride turn into someone’s full autobiography? And today’s random word of the day: recommendations. Why does everyone have them? Why are they always bad? And why is the internet obsessed with forcing them on us?
Welcome to Reality is Optional, where we overanalyze words and random life moments—so you don’t have to.
