I was privileged to witness the salvation of hundreds of people at the Festival of Hope - a program organised by the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. There I understood what Luke 15:7 means.
Chances are great that when you try something good, you would want to share it with a friend. For example, a good movie or funny skit, a nice restaurant or beautiful travel destination. And you would do this with all enthusiasm you can muster. I would do the same.
The big question then is why don't we follow this practice with the good news of the Gospel? why do we give excuses as to why we cannot share this all important, soul saving, eternal-life bringing message?
In this episode, I discuss some of the lies we believe which hinder us from speading the Gospel, and reveal how you and I can overcome them and activate the evangelist in us, to bring in the harvest that Jesus promised.
"God wants to control my life. Sometimes, He even tells me to do things outside of my will, like to quit chasing the career of my dreams or to give a large sum of money to some ministry or charity. He must be a killjoy." we say.
People have various reasons for believing that they know God - from church attendance to vibrant prayer life to fulfilling the ten commandments. In this episode however, I share what the Bible says is the ULTIMATE PROOF that a person knows God.
Often, we are too eager for more stuff - money, fame, cars, jewellry, you name it. As the saying goes: "Human wants are insatiable" Sadly this traps us in a lifestyle of ingratitude whereby we neglect to enjoy the present moment, with all of its blessings and instead worry about the future. This, as I explain in this episode has negative effects on us which can only be addressed by switching to a lifestyle of gratitude.
The question of whether the Bible is really God's word or just man's creation is age-long. In this episode, I share five fundamental reasons why I have come to believe that the Bible is truly God-inspired and will transform any life that takes the time to study it.
