  • Monica Irvine – Defining the Skills of Being Kind
Over the years, I've been tempted to enroll my kids in etiquette classes.  I always thought it was about manners and which fork to use.  Somehow it never got done.  It didn't seem important enough.  BOY, WAS I WRONG!
In this podcast episode, Monica Irvine from the Etiquette Factory explains what etiquette really is.  It is all about being kind.  And we need more kindness in the world!
Monica started the Etiquette Factory when she was homeschooling her children.  She got the idea when they studied George Washington and found his "Rules of Civility."  She got a vision of how learning these 110 rules would benefit society. And that is how the Etiquette Factory was born.
My older boys missed out on these amazing lessons.  My youngest will start her online classes this semester, and I'm so excited about it!  He isn't sure what direction he wants to go in life, but he knows that part of his mission is to make the world better.  Learning the skills of being kind definitely will help!
Monica has an amazing website and podcast!  Be sure to check them out!

  • Beca Lewis – Shifting Perceptions Towards GENIUS
I've been saving this episode to share for Christmas.  Beca Lewis is a trusted mentor who has changed my life.  She changes paradigms and teaches people to see and be more. Parenting and educating our children can be challenging but shifting our perceptions - Beca's specialty - can help us in many ways!  Discipline, motivation, and engagement issues, and much more can be tackled with shifts in how we perceive things. Beca is such a gift!  I know you will love this episode!
Here is a little more about Beca and all she does:
Beca Lewis writes, speaks, teaches, and coaches how to shift perceptions and lives toward infinite possibilities. Beca shares that what we perceive to be reality magnifies, which means that shifting our perceptions is the only way to make the permanent changes we desire. Her intent is to make rewriting the stories of our lives easy, joyful, and eminently practical. Beca is the author of the non-fiction The Shift Series, books based on her system called The Shift®, which she began officially teaching in 1992. She is also the author of over twenty-five fiction books. Since 1999 Beca has been writing a monthly and sometimes weekly blog. Beca has also written two free email series: The Daily Nudge and The Truth 4 Today.
