Coming from the treadmill this time, I discuss practical ways to heal and recover from abuse. And ...also I got cut off at the end, so I’m going to continue this one next time :)

You need to grieve the death of things. The death of what you hoped for your relationship. The death of your own personal dreams your abuser crushed. The death of friendships lost to abuse or the leaving process. I’m here to tell you, it’s ok to grieve:

I’m daring you to dream...just a little because I know it can be scary. But I believe in you and believe you can work towards and achieve your dream. Out of abuse we sometimes have to start completely over, and that’s the best time to DREAM.

It’s important to identify what you value, what’s important to you, and start learning to stand your ground. I believe in you. You can do this.

Venting helps, when it’s done well. There are ways to vent that preserve your relationships while also helping you confront and heal.

Sometimes the road is way too long and way too far, but all I’m asking you to do is Get Back Up. I believe in you. You can believe in you, and each time you fall, you CAN get back up!

When things are the worst and everything and everyone is going wrong, that’s when you need to believe in Yourself the most. A choice you need to make every day.

When you feel everything is shaken....you’re second guessing your decisions...and feel everything has fallen apart. You’re still worthy of love and respect and should not live with regret.

Some things people say hurt more than others, especially when you need support the most. Here’s how I worked through my hurt...

You are more capable than you thought possible. But most of us don’t realize it because we’re too scared to dream. We heard and believed too many negative things about ourselves from our abuser. But now, I’m daring you to dream and see what you’re capable of.
