  • RealRadio (at home) feat. Police Officer (anonymous)

Sometimes we exclaim "What was he thinking?!?" (with a few added expletives to spice it up) when we see things happen that are beyond belief. This time we really meant it, and wanted to know what goes through a police officer's mind when they see us.
Our anonymous guest in this episode gives us insight on what it's like on their side of the divide. It wasn't easy maintaining the discussion on track given what's on our minds but some valid points were made.
This does not constitute enough of a sample to generalize, it's simply meant as a peek into someone else's perception.

  • RealRadio (at home) feat. Corinne Kai

RealRadio "at home" has given me the opportunity to reach out to people for episodes that previously seemed impossible to schedule; yet here we are 4 episodes in.
We welcomed Corinne Kai for this one.
As a sex educator, advocate, writer and healer, the discussion exposed how much more there is for me to learn about healing, consent and LGBTQ issues. There are solutions to sex miseducation.

  • RealRadio (at home) feat. DJ Black Charles

"Babi" based DJ Black Charles was ready for confinement, subconsciously at least. As our guest for this episode, we discussed La Sunday Abidjan (thank us later for putting you on!), the African house scene and visuals for Virgil Abloh. Please pardon our subtle (not so much) French flex for this episode.
Le mouvement de foule qui bouge au son de Black Charles s'élargit; le confinement n'est qu'une interlude de l'album qui se crée. Le tout sans oublier un big up à ses collaborateurs car "L'Afrique n'est pas démunie, mais seulement désunie".

  • RealRadio (at home) feat. Serine Ayari

As we continue to explore how this period fosters (or hinders) creativity, Serine Ayari came on as a guest for this episode.
She is a multilingual comedian/actress based in Belgium. We discussed her ability to write jokes for audiences with different sensibilities, the origins of her comedy and how she deals with political correctness.
The future is female, so mark your calendar to attend her upcoming one woman show "Still Standing"!

  • RealRadio (at home) with Sav B + Kofi

I figured we'd start the "at home" series with an episode about art: new music!

Sav B, who we know for his poetry from a previous appearance, came on to discuss his latest release "Growing Pains". The album features 14 tracks that give us insight on the artist and the everyday man that Bruce represents.

Kofi closes out the episode with his latest track "Stay Inside", nuff said!
I have a hunch he's working on an album...stay connected to this channel for more updates.

  • RealRadio feat. Justin AKA Pink Bottom Jus

This conversation was really a treat for me!
If you're curious about fitted hats, the design process and the collector's world that is bubbling up around them, you'll enjoy this episode.
Justin and one of his sidekicks, Marcy, from Hat Club (NoHo NYC) were our guests on this episode and Man did they drop knowledge!?!? Trust me when I say you won't be buying fitted the same.

  • RealRadio feat. Monica Monfre

I don't know about you but I've never met a teacherpreneur; meeting Monica Monfre solved that problem! The social media gods probably knew this when they sent her profile to my feed.
In this episode, Monica introduces us to her talents coaching and supporting teachers launch their side hustles. She knows the deal since she has a few herself when she's not busy educating the yute!
Find out about her, her teaching experience, her feelings about Shakespeare and teachwellthy.com when you press play.

  • RealRadio feat. Demi Dabady

The best part of meeting Demi was the good vibes! It's also enjoyable to watch her sing along while the songs are playing in studio; that must be what is commonly defined as passion. She has that and more.
Its hard describing our conversation. It wasn't only centered around music; we also addressed her life as an educator, culture, the fact that her songs are based on life experiences (makes you listen with a different ear), growing up in Brooklyn, etc. Basically we got to meet the artist and the person!

  • RealRadio feat. Kenneth Montgomery Esq.

If ever a guest embodied the expression "talk is cheap", Ken Montgomery is the one!
The irony and contradiction is not lost on me; I was aware of his career as lawyer and I discovered that he teaches what he practices but the conversation I anticipated never materialized. We had a better one!
He introduced us to the various endeavors he's involved in to bring about the required change. This episode is the ideal place to meet him; I wouldn't recommend a courthouse whether he's on your side (that means trouble for you) or the opposite (then, you'd be with the boys!).
