Since the pandemic started, so many people have decided to start their own businesses. Being a business owner can be so rewarding, but there is also so much to learn.

My guest, Leon Bailey, talks about his journey in real estate that started when he was in college at Hampton University. Instead of continuing to rent with roommates, he decided to purchase a property and house hack. He picked up his first property by assuming a VA veterans loan for half the amount of what it was worth!

After graduation, he moved to Maryland and his long real estate history really began. After purchasing a new construction home, he and his wife decided to take real estate classes together to get a better understanding of the process. What they once looked at as a home to raise a family, turned into an opportunity to flip and make money.

After getting his real estate license in 2007, he quickly earned success by selling $10 million in sales his first year! Later, one question that was asked of him sparked a collection of real estate investment properties. That question was, “how many properties do you have?” He leveraged his 401k retirement account and credit cards to fund his first investments, which we can see now proved to be a good choice.

Through his investment career, he evolved into owning AirBNB properties in South Carolina in the Atlantic Beach area. He then found a love for land development and building homes from the ground up. This has sparked his love for getting more involved in developing communities. He was recently appointed by the County Executive for Prince George’s County in Maryland to the Redevelopment Board.

Hearing about all of his endeavors on the journey to where he is and where he is going is inspiring! I know there is so much more to come in the future and we can’t wait to watch him continue to grow in his purpose.

Bad things happen to good people. Just because you may have experienced a situation in your life does not mean you are a bad person. I often get people who want to buy a house but have no idea if it is possible after filing bankruptcy or experiencing a short sale or foreclosure.  

Thankfully, you can buy another house even if you had one of these happen to you in the past. Each are vastly different but they all affect your ability to purchase a home.

Let me first talk to my buyers and sellers. BUYERS & SELLERS I want to first educate you so you understand the home buying and selling process. I want you to feel confident when you're ready to take that next step towards your real estate goals!  

INVESTORS, there are so many ways you can make money in real estate besides the traditional methods. I plan to explore the most popular ways as well as introduce you to new ways you've never thought of. I will invite guests to talk about interesting ways they are using real estate to create generational wealth for their families  

REALTORS, I can't forget about my Realtor friends! I want to show you how to improve and grow a successful real estate career by taking a deep dive into your systems and techniques. I'll also interview Realtors who are killing it in the Real Estate game to learn how they are doing it!  

Now let's talk about entrepreneurship! Being a BOSS sounds good until you have to do BOSS things! Like I said, in a few months, I'll be celebrating 10 years in business! I want to share some of my experiences of being a business owner. The good, the bad, and the ugly! I will show you how you can start your own business. If your goal is to start your own real estate brokerage, we will talk about that too!  

And last, I will keep you updated on market trends and current events that affect the real estate market!
