Today on Perry and Shawna Mornings we take a look a God’s grace from some fresh camera angles. First, God’s grace looks like a broken motorcycle. Then Perry shares that he doesn’t want to run away from his scars anymore. Because they have made him who he is. And they give him Jesus’ compassion for the broken. Next, we’re never going to love like Jesus loves if we don’t believe God loves us. It’s all about daring to believe that God loves us especially when our feelings tell us otherwise. We get an assist from Rod VanSolkema, pastor of Crossroads Bible Church in Grand Rapids.
Then, back in Jesus day there was a man who lived among the tombs, cutting himself, full of demons, and Jesus set him free. And this man HAD to tell others what Jesus had done for him. Perry relates this story to his own, and yours. Next, if we’re going to love like Jesus loves we need humility and to get humility we need to be broken of our pride. And ultimately to love like Jesus we need to cry out: “Wash me Jesus!” Another assist from Rod VanSolkema. And finally trusting God when life doesn’t make sense. When we do that and take the next step of faith, we bring about the salvation of the world.
