  • Episode 451: Gross Melody
The other night, I heard music coming to me from a dream. It was all complex with all these different contrapuntal melodies and cool timbres and stuff. It was vastly complex and blew my mind with its eternal beauty. So I got out my iPad so I could try to get the ideas down, but, gosh darn it all, it was too complex for me to get it all down. Even the main melody drifted away from me as I was trying to figure out how to sing it. So, I ended up singing an ersatz version of whatever I heard, which formed the basis of this song. This is probably a crappy mix, so I'll remix it tomorrow if needed.

  • Episode 450: In By 9
This is the next song in the fucked up relationship album...it's all about how when I was seeing the dude, I had to be home by 9pm on the dot, every single night, for a dumb good-night phone call. As you can imagine, that killed any semblance of a social life I had.

  • Episode 449: Micro-Dose Song
This is the song where a person took a micro-dose of magic mushrooms cuz of wanting to feel better and not so depressed. And then the person went into a psychedelic state - whoops! It's a true story.

  • Episode 447: I Don't Know What To Say
I've been wanting to write a song like this for a long time. See, I woke up from a dream with a song from a dream in my head and wrote it down. Then, I went back to sleep with that song stuck in my head. In the next dream, the next part of the song came out, so when I woke up, I wrote that down. Then, I repeated that process 5 or 6 times, and this song here is the result of that process. Man, it's the last day of 2022; that's a trip. Actually, the lyrics about it being the last day of 2022 are ones that didn't come in a dream cuz that stretch of melody didn't have lyrics when I got 'em from the dream. (And of course, the initial rap is something I also made up after the fact).

  • Episode 446: You're My Everything
This is the next song in the fucked up relationship album. It's kinda like a regular old love song, but you can kinda tell that it's a song occurring in the context of a fucked up relationship.

  • Episode 443: Chester Christmas Song
I liked that keyboard part in the last song, so I wanted to put that melody in another song, so you can have this 2-song set of Christmas songs that go together. Woohoo. I thought I'd pay tribute to Chester Bennington and Linkin Park and my favorite song, "Shadow of the Day," especially since it has the same chord progression as this song has (a chord progression I probably use too much, but, oh, well). I'm still sick, and this sore throat made my vocals kind of suck. But maybe that's okay cuz the sucky vocals sound all sad and stuff.
