Three years ago today, we started the Rebel without a Closet Journey. I was adorable once, young and full of hope….so It's with a bittersweet mix of emotions that we come together today to bid farewell to this incarnation of our Queer and Queer Adjacent journey.

Over the course of this series, we've explored the vibrant collections of queer cinema, dived deep into our personal stories, and created a safe haven for open and honest discussions. From Frenchies to Conference tables made of Solid Oak, each episode has been a testament to the resilience, strength, and beauty of LGBTQ+ stories.

Rebels! You know I would never bother you when you're getting a piece of wood, but this is muy importante.

Rebels! Welcome to the Pride Rewind! Continuing our Pride Month film reviews, Chad, Stuart and I take a step back with our deep gratitude, to have a heavy and intimate conversation with Gary Woodroffe, an elder gay man with real lived experiences before, and during the AIDS Epidemic.  Gary recants the story of living in the Maritimes, finding a gay tribe, his first party experience, and his first eye-opening experience with AIDS.

This is a very important story that needs to be told and we can't thank Gary enough for sharing it with us.  *Trigger Warning in Effect*

The Normal Heart (2014)  Written by Larry Kramer rd and directed by Ryan Murphy, starring Mark Ruffalo, Matt Boomer, and Julia Roberts. A gay activist attempts to raise H.I.V. and A.I.D.S. awareness during the early 1980s.

Rebels! Welcome to the Pride Rewind! Nothing makes more sense than to revisit the one degree of separation between the rebel camp, and Charlie David, than a movie so terrible, it changed the way we recorded.

Mulligans (2008) Written by and Starring Charlie David.  Charlie David spends 92 minutes trying to convince the audience that he's a closeted teen blissfully ignorant to destroying the family of his best friend by sleeping with the father who's only 8 years older than him. Shoehorn some Golf references to justify the title and bam. Gay Cinema.
