  • Episode 25: The Power of Connection

Connection is powerful! We are wired to connect - both with God and others. Statistics show that we are lonelier than we have ever been due to Covid-19. The exponential growth of social media and other online tools has only widened that divide. The Bible is very clear that we are not alone and that God is actually closer to us when we are feeling lonely. Psalm 147:3 says that "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." Through our connection with God and His word, we will find connection and purpose with others. When we honor one another above ourselves we create an unbreakable connection anointed by God's love (Romans 12:10).

Join Catherine, Gina and Kristen as they look at why we experience loneliness and how, through God's grace, we can find connection and purpose.

  • Episode 24: Empty Cup Complex

Have you ever tried to collect water in a strainer? Pour from an empty cup? Remarkably, that is how many women struggle through the day by pouring out to others and not seeking replenishment.

God wants the best for us. In 3 John 1:2 it says "Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers." Part of God's Will for us is to find peace in His Word and make time to refuel. In doing so, we are able to give more generously to others. Join Catherine, Gina and Kristen as they look at ways we can give more to others by giving back to ourselves.

  • Episode 23: In God We Trust
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. These are the words of wisdom written by Solomon in Proverbs 3:5 which guide our underlying belief that what we CANNOT SEE is more powerful than what we CAN SEE. But what causes us to lean on our own understanding? Is it our pride, complacency or worry? Join Catherine, Gina and Kristen as they provide helpful tips on how to trust God instead and also explore some of the obstacles that keep us from trusting in His goodness. Episode Notes: In this episode, we refer to the below topics that were covered in more detail in these previous episodes: Epidode 5: The Faith Choice (Walking by faith and not by sight. • Episode 22: Valley of Tears

According to Psalm 30:5, "Weeping may edndure for a night but joy cometh in the morning". God meets us in our valleys, our low points, to demonstrate His love and provide perspective you can only see from the mountain top. David refers to the Valley of Baka (aka Valley of Tears) in Psalm 84:6 to show that those who experience sorrow in life can find strength through their faith in God. Join Catherine, Gina and Kristen as they illustrate how God's unending faithfulness can lead us out of our darkest valleys. Episode Notes: In this episode, we refer to the below topics that were covered in more detail in these previous episodes:

  • Episode 21: Who is this "Good Shepherd"?

What exactly is a Good Shepherd? Why do we need one? We hear this term a lot -- but what exactly does it mean and how does it pertain to us and our faith, our hope, our everyday lives? Now that we understand ourselves and our sheepish tendancies (episode 20), the need for a shepherd is obvious – but so are the benefits of having a great shepherd. The quality of our joy, and lives, can be directly linked to the shepherd who cares for us. According to John 10:11-16, the Good Shepherd lays down his life for his sheep and he knows us. As we stray and wander in our everyday lives, He is patient with our shortcomings and is always willing to guide us back to the flock (even if it means leaving the 99 to find the 1). Join Catherine, Gina and Kristen as they explore this topic and share personal experiences of His loving care.

  • Episode 20: I'm a sheep? Say what?

Have you ever wondered why we are compared to sheep in the Bible? "We are his people, the sheep of his pasture." Psalm 100:3b

We can resemble sheep in so many ways ("Sheeple"): Followers, easily distracted and led astray. However, sheep are also extremely loyal and highly intelligent when led by a loving shepherd. The comparison to sheep is fascinating when we look at our own behavior and our need for a shepherd. Join Catherine, Gina and Kristen as they discuss the characteristics of sheep and how that relates so closely to our own lives and tendencies.

  • Episode 19: H.O.P.E.

Hold On Pain Ends (or H.O.P.E.) is the holding on to the belief that God is always working while exhibiting "faith in future tense". As King David says in Psalm 71:14a, "But for me, I will always have hope." Have you ever considered the difference between hope and optimism? While optimism expresses a general sense of things getting better, hope is the desire with the expectation that God will provide what is needed to hold on. Hope demonstrates the belief that not only is there purpose in your trials but our lives will be aligned with God's will. Join Catherine, Gina and Kristen this week as they shares personal examples of hope and provide resources that help you trust in God.

  • Episode 18: Faith Over Fear

Fear is a powerful opponent that can stagnate our faith. When surrounded by fearful news and events, it can seem overwhelming. However, the Bible tells us 365 times to "Fear Not". Faith and fear cannot coexist -- when one moves in, the other moves out. The question is: Which one will you invite to stay? This week, Catherine, Gina and Kristen explore what choosing faith can look like and trusting the Lord while fear is so prevalent.

  • Episode 17: Sweet Surrender

Why do we sometimes choose unnecessary suffering instead of surrendering? Have you ever delayed surrendering to God's will and thus delay God's mercy and gifts? On the road to Damascus in Acts 26:14, Jesus asked 'Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me? It is hard for you to kick against the goads." Catherine, Gina and Kristen explore what it means to "kick against the goads", the struggle that this creates and what surrender looks like. By choosing to give into God's will, we can experience the rest, joy and calm that only the Lord can provide. We release a new episode every Wednesday.
