Athletics played a tremendous role throughout Sarah’s life and especially in pursuing her career goals. After the final whistle of her last game, little did she know what a challenge it would be to transition out of athletics and pursue her career.  Rebranded Athlete is on a mission to help 98% of college athletes who don’t go pro, confidently pivot from the game into life after graduating. Sarah completed her Doctorate in Education with an emphasis in Transformational Leadership from Concordia University. Josh Copeland, the CEO and founder of Learning 2 Cope. was a standout high school football player from Fairborn, Ohio.  He was one of the few in his high school’s history to receive a full-ride scholarship to play Division 1 Football at the University at Buffalo in New York. Josh was like many other D1 athletes that struggled with the transition into life after sports.  Josh now runs his own business, Learning to Cope which educates young athletes about Mental Health.

In this episode, Coach Sarah welcomes her first guest, Dr. Jeff Springer.  Coach Sarah and Dr. Springer met as classmates when they were both pursuing their doctorate degrees.  Jeff is a former collegiate athlete who in his 34 years of being an educator had many opportunities to transition.
