In the summer of 2020, New York City’s unemployment rate reached as high as 20%. One year later, while unemployment in New York City has declined, it is still double the national average. Jose Ortiz, Jr., CEO of the New York City Employment and Training Coalition, the largest city-based workforce development association in the country, joins Scott Rechler to discuss how we can better prepare New York City’s workforce to not just survive, but thrive in a world post-COVID.
