The proposal episode feels like a romcom with its heartfelt moments amidst Luke's nerves, Zach's stress, and Nia's efforts to make sure Kristen showers and dresses up. Their careful planning pays off and Detective Doute is completely surprised and shocked by a beautiful and emotional moment. Things take an unexpected turn as Janet's initial reaction is disdain that her vacation away from her baby has been centered around Kristin's engagement, while also deciding to remove herself from gatherings to prioritize Kristin's moment devoid of negativity. Brittany is crestfallen to learn that she was left out of planning, and fishin', as Zach feels the sting of her party planning feedback. In the end, Kristin feels like the luckiest girl in the world so the trip was a success.
